Pool RX 332066 PoolRX+ Booster Black Swimming Pool Algaecide, Single Unit

This stuff really works great. I have a large in ground pool. Historically I have struggled with algae flare ups every season and spent hours brushing the pool, cleaning filters and lots of money on gallons of algaecide. Now I use pool RX. No more brushing ever. No need to clean filters more than once a season and zero dollars wasted on ineffective algaecide. Get it. It works.

Have used pool rx for awhile now. Great product, if you’re not using it, you should. Simply put it in the pump basket and walk away.

I had been struggling with black algae over the last five months. In the past i handled black algae by rubbing chlorine tabs on the spots, but this last summer was very warm and the black algae started to spread continuously. In the past it had been in grout lines and occasionally in my pebble tech. Then it started forming in my pebble tech and spreading slowly. I tried rubbing chlorine tabs on it, then purchased algaecide from Leslies, and Algatec from Amazon. I was wire brushing the algae several times a week along with the Algaecide treatments. The black algae was literally unaffected and got worse. I closely monitor my pH and chlorine levels, been doing it for 15 years, and was at my wits end. When you research they all say their product works, but I am very skeptical with my $$. After about two weeks, and only a little wire scrubbing, my black algae was gone! I'd buy it again, nuff said!

I add to my pool every 6mth. Definitely helps keep water clear and kills algae. My pool guy also recommends.

This is a great product. BUT, I have found it's just better to replace the whole thing as opposed to do the recharge thing. It just works better.
