MAXXIS Rekon Race - Dual Compound EXO - E25 Rating, Tubeless | Semi-Slick XC Race Tire

I’ve been riding MTB for nearly a decade now and these tires are my favorite. It’s got great rolling speed without sacrificing grip. I especially notice the grip with cornering and turns. I ride in FL which can be quite sandy and notice how well these perform. Before I transitioned to these, I used a more grippy, but heavier tire. I was a bit worried that I’d lose traction but honestly the Rekon Races are just as good but with better rolling speed and they’re much lighter. I also love the tan wall look with my Scott Spark. Overall, for the price, it’s well worth it. I feel like I upgraded in every way: lightweight, rolling speed, without decreasing traction and grip. Grip: 5/5 Rolling speed: 5/5

Excellent quality

We use these for XC MTB race bikes - they last a long time as a training tire, are remarkable flat resistant if used (Sidewalls are very lightweight) and have pretty good cornering grip on well-packed and sandy trails. Keeping your pressure lower keeps the contact patch to the trail large which improves the grip dramatically. My XC racer son is a bigger kid - 6', 160lbs - and he managed over 2000 miles of training rides on his back tire before we elected to replace it this week. The front tire has gone the same distance and still looks good.

If you’re riding on concrete a lot these make life much easier on a mountain bike. Im limited on mtb trails and ride around the neighborhood a lot and the big nobby tires make it really difficult to go uphill on concrete and are bumpy on flats. These have decent off road traction while having much smaller nobs to decrease rolling resistance for a faster and smoother ride. We have Hookworms on our big BMX bikes and those are great too. You really can’t go wrong with Maxxis.

Fast race tire that gives you great cornering. Will say they feel a little gummy in the sidewall compared to other Maxxis tires when inflated to same PSI, and for that im taking a star. Perfect for hard packed dirt where you want to hit the corners hard.

Rekon Race tires are incredible. They are light, fast, and will surprise you when you go to corner in loose terrain. I have been very impressed. I have had the same pair on my trail bike for over a year now with 2500 miles of rocky terrain. I love this tire

MAXXIS Aggressor EXO から買い換えです。 チューブレスレディですがクリンチャーとして使用しています。 殆ど舗装路で稀にダートを楽しむ程度なので本格グラベルタイヤ Aggressorからセミスリック系の Rekon Race に買い換えました。 見た目はほとんどブロックパターンでMTBタイヤの雰囲気を保ちながらやや低めのブロックのセミスリックなので舗装路での転がり、グリップが良くパターンノイズも少なく快適です。 タイヤ自体も軽く漕ぎ出しも軽いですね。 サイドのタンウォールがカッコよくお気に入りです。 センターのブロックパターンが低めなので摩耗がやや早いかもしれません。 転がりやグリップが良く快適なMTB用グラベルタイヤです。

Très contents de ces pneus ! J'avais déjà eu auparavant la version noir classique, et j'avoue que cette version Tanwall donne un vrai look à ma monture ! En dehors de l'aspect esthétique, j'aime beaucoup ces pneus pour une pratique XC peu engagée. Ils n'ont pas de gros crampons, mais cela suffit pour s'agripper dans les chemins de forêts ! SI vous passez par des routes, ils sont très roulants également ! très peu de bruit sur le bitume ! J'en suis très content pour la saison estivale !
