Cats definitely have different personalities, so they are not all going to respond the same way to the same thing. My cat loves this tree so much, and uses all of it. But I have a scratching ball that other cats seem to adore, and I can’t get her to use it. You should put the cat and some thing he really likes in the top basket together. Like a favorite toy or something. Or catnip if he likes it. Try to get him to associate positive things with using it. Maybe it will work.

When you say every part is replaceable is the fur coating on the bottom and middle level possible to remove?

So the platform the fur is on can be replaced. The für does not come off the middle and bottom platform.
