Bought it for my ocean rig, but went trout fishing first. It tends to spin on the ultra-light pole, but I don’t think it will on the fatter ocean pole. I used the cast cannon on a recent surf fishing trip. It worked great. Kept my finger from being cut and cast with ease. Adjusted to it quickly. Used up to a 5 oz sinker without issue. I did have to adjust the velcro wrap once during the trip but just took a few seconds. Left it on the rod and it stores without issue.
