Good quality workmanship and cotton. I ordered an XXL, but could have gone with an XL, but since I sleep hot, the extra roominess is nice. The cotton is not soft at first, as plain cotton isn't. But gets softer with each wash. I embroidered little flowers on the placket at the top, which made it even prettier. I ordered another raw white one just like it and will do the same. Thus turning an inexpensive nightie into a very beautiful expensive looking one, which would sell for close to $100 in a high end catalog. I am sure I will be buying a few more to replace all of my polyester ones which are too hot.

It was well made and fit as I expected. The material was a nice print, but felt like polyester instead of cotton. Did wash , but still not a feel like any cotton fabric I have worn before.

Seems various colors have different fabric make up. My gown is the Clear Blue and it is indeed a soft 100% cotton fabric. The lace is not scratchy polyester. Fabric weight is substantial not see through in this color. I ordered a medium and it's a bit big even after washing. Longer than I would like (I'm 5 ft 3 in) but I can and will fix that. : )

Almost didn’t buy due to reviews about “stiffness” but now that I have the item I think people who are saying it’s not cotton or it’s too stiff are not familiar with how cotton feels when new. Because so many fabrics are blends now. This is a nice lightweight cotton sheeting-type nightgown. No it is not “jersey” or “knit” feeling because that is not what it is. It’s like a thin sheet. That is cotton. After months of washing it will be very soft - the reviewers who report “washing it twice and it’s still stiff” are not versed in how long it takes for this type of fabric to become super soft. And I was puzzled by reviewers who complain that the care instructions say not to machine dry. Is it so difficult to throw a nightgown over a shower curtain or on a drying rack instead of throwing it in a dryer and removing it from a dryer?? Seems like the same effort either way. Again, they do not understand standard care for cotton. I agree that ordering up is a good idea. Usually I’m XL but got XXL and it is roomy and comfortable. Disregard the reviews from people who don’t know fabric types. It’s a great little nightgown - and for the people who say they are 5’3 and it’s above their knees - not sure what that’s about as I’m 5’7 and it’s to or below my knees.

I wish this felt more like cotton. It has a noisy shuffle sound and fake feeling to it.

The nightdress is very flattering, but says 100% cotton. it does not feel like cotton, nor polished cotton, instead it feels and sounds like a shower curtain? My only complaint is that it should be soft, lovely, cotton as it says it is made of.
