Have limited garden space and previously had to use crowded clothes airers outdoors to try and dry clothes, this clothes line is so easy to install and manages a full wash load on its two lines, which dries so much better than anything else we’ve tried to use. Saves electricity as used to need final drying with a dehumidifier indoors to finish drying so excellent purchase. Only slightly negative comment is longevity, had a previous model which lost its retraction after one year, but this may have been a rogue one ! We will see how this goes, but would definitely recommend.

I bought this Vinsani Retractable Reel Clothes Line for my small garden, and it’s been an absolute game-changer. With 30 metres of line split between twin cables, I get more than enough space to hang out an entire load of washing without having to install a permanent line that takes up space. The twin cable design adds extra stability, which means my clothes stay put even on windy days. The retractable reel feature is my favorite part, it keeps the garden looking tidy when I’m not using it. Installation was straightforward too; it comes with everything needed to get it up on the wall, and even with my less-than-handy skills, I managed to get it up without any trouble. The quality is solid, and the cables feel durable enough to handle heavier items like towels and bedding. If you have a smaller space but still want the convenience of a clothesline, this retractable reel is perfect. It’s functional, easy to use, and saves so much space when not in use. Plus, it’s nice to actually use sunshine to dry my clothes without cluttering up my limited garden area. Definitely recommend for anyone needing a compact, efficient washing line solution!

Purchased with relatively low expectations but found this washing line easy to install and excellent value for money. The lines themselves are of good quality and provide a good solid hanging space and this is helped by having dual lines available. Not the bulkiest of products and easy to fit to a wall (all necessary extras are included)

This is a great Vinsani product. For years we have had a fixed green washing line running from the house down to the garden shed. As it was fixed, the wire was always visible and inevitably annoying. This problem has now gone for good. I opted for the Vinsani 30 meter washing line which is actually 2 x independant 15 meter lines. 2 drill holes are required to mount the line wheel/box. Think about this location before fitting as you will then need to work out where you want each line to run to in your garden. 2 further drill holes will be required to secure the washing line hooks. (Hooks, screws and raw plugs included). Simply run out one, or two of the washing lines as required and walk out and lip on to the hook at the other end. Go back to the wheel/box, and run the line through the plastic brake located under box. The line can be tightened or loosened as required. When not in use, you can simply unclip from the hook and walk the wire back to the wheel/box until next needed. Both washing lines run independently of each other and retract in and out as required. I really rate this product. The wheel/box is small enough not to be intrusive but easily provides us with adequate space for 2 15 meter washing lines. A massive 5 stars from me.

Broke in less than 12 months and there wasn’t even much on the line. Plastic snapped at the point of where it is fixed to the wall. Rubbish. Brought in August 2025, broke in June 2026 and didn’t use it throughout winter, so very little real use in that time. Very poor.

Ideal good quality

I needed a new retractable washing line and ordered this as a direct replacement for the same model I bought a few years ago. I assumed it would be a simple swap: loosen two screws, lift the old unit off, slide the new one on, tighten up, and job done. Unfortunately, despite being the same make, the mounting bracket has been changed. The screw holes are now on the opposite side, which meant the new unit would not fit the existing fixings. Instead of a quick replacement, I had to re-drill the wall and reposition the screws. The washing line itself works fine, but changing the bracket design on what appears to be the same product is frustrating and completely unnecessary. If you’re replacing an older version, be aware that it may not be a straight swap. Pros: • Works well once installed • Decent quality washing line Cons: • Mounting bracket design changed • Not compatible with older installations • Turns a simple job into a hassle Would have been a 5-star review if they’d kept the bracket the same.
