Does the job!
This is a review of the Sillitor Men's Sport rash vest in the colour 22-black-blue and large size.Size: Normally, I wear a medium size, but I decided to go with the large size for this top due to the potential variation in sizes from China. The large size turned out to be a better fit for me. However, I the fit wasn't perfect. While it fit well in some areas, it didn't quite match up in other places. I suspect that the medium size would have been too tight for me.This rash vest serves multiple purposes and is suitable for water sports such as surfing, swimming, and even cycling. It offers breathability and stretchability. It allows for comfortable movement during sporting activities. The material used is a combination of 90% polyester and 10% spandex fabric. When it comes to the feel, the fabric is pleasant to the touch. The material is rather thin.Overall, I find this product to be okay. It serves its purpose adequately, but it does have some shortcomings in terms of fit.

Perfectly adequate
This is a perfectly adequate rash vest at an affordable price. A small fits me well (I'm usually an extra small in everything), covering my arms and keeping me warmer in the sea as well as offering protection from the sun. It's not exactly visually or aesthetically stunning, and that's in keeping with the fit, the design and the way it feels to wear. There's nothing here to get excited about. If you want something functional and affordable to maybe wear under a wetsuit on a cold day or to pair with swim shorts in the sea on a warmer day without a wetsuit, this is fine and will definitely do the trick. I personally feel like, for not a lot more money, I could get something that looks considerably cooler and more colourful. Your mileage may very about whether you want something cheap and functional, or don't mind paying a little more for something more stylish.

Good quality and lightweight but a little on the small side
I ordered a medium size as I normally take medium in shirts, etc. This is OK but a little tight in places although I suspect a size larger would be too big.It is well made and is great for protection and providing some warmth when a wetsuit is a bit too much, and it isn't as bulky.

Reasonable budget priced under vest
A sports under vest is a vital piece of kit for anyone who is determined enough to keep going through the colder months. Deliberately tight fitting and constructed with a good proportion of Lycra™ to ensure stretch, not only does an under vest protect from the worst of the wind and keep you warm, it also wicks sweat away from the body effectively so even if you are training hard it is a real advantage as, rain excepted, you'll be dry. Aside from a tight fit my list of other important considerations for a sports vest contains:• Important to stay where positioned,• Retains heat quickly,• No seams,• Doesn’t constrict movement by being over tight,• Washes readily with other sports kit,• Is comfortable and doesn’t scratch or itch,• Doesn’t rub – this is a particular issue around the sensitive bits of the chest, with a poorly fitting vest capable of making things very sore indeed on a long cycle ride.I’m happy to say that this Sillictor™ under vest offered for review under the Amazon Vine programme passes these tests in the main. Suitable for a range of sports including swimming, diving, snorkelling, running, football and cycling amongst others, I ordered my normal 2XL and found it fit almost as expected. I found the body to fit well, although the mock turtleneck is a little tight, whilst the sleeves were slightly overlong and loose, although that could be a factor of not having muscle-bound arms. Within the first mile of a chilly ride it had, as desired, retained sufficient body heat so the morning chill was soon a memory. However, it’s also important not to overheat if the sun does its job later on, and this vest wicks away excess heat, regulating the body to a pretty even standard as well as giving the added bonus of providing the equivalent of Factor 50+ sunscreen protection. On Spring and Autumn days that can be important as the sun can be more powerful than suspected if exposed to it for a long time. This is a bonus feature I particularly appreciate as I burn easily. The vest was supplied in a simple, re-sealable LDPE bag which as a committed recycler is not my favourite packaging – a thick brown paper bag would have done just as good a job. The construction is 85% Nylon™, 15% Spandex™ a.k.a. Lycra to UK audiences. The material is shiny and very soft which I like; and all stitching is the flat type which won’t irritate. I close black with grey stitching, but all blue or black with blue stitching are also available as choices. There is quite a lot of stitching – front and back body panels, around the neck, attaching sleeves and down the length of each sleeve, and around the hem. Washing instructions are:• Hand wash at 30ºC• Do not bleach• Do not dry clean• Do not tumble dry (presumably to help the garment keep its shape)• Medium ironAt £17.99 this is a reasonable budget priced under vest that does its job to a good standard. I’m a little disappointed by the looseness of the arms but that shouldn’t be an issue under a long-sleeved winter top, but would be for me under a short-sleeved top, and that’s my only reason for deducting a star.

Need to Size up
I've bought several rash vests over the years for various water sports and always get a size larger than I would if I was to buy a t-shirt for example, however even buying a larger size for this wasn't enough as it was extremely tight but what's strange is it's not uniform. By that I mean the stomach and arms were extremely tight but the chest wasn't quite as bad. Now I know you may think it's because of the dad bod I've been working on for the last few years, however I haven't been on the pies and chips and normally I have issues with it being the other way around and the chest is a bit tight as my shoulders are a bit on the broad side but with this vest the waste feels almost like a tourniquet. Maybe I should have gone even bigger but then I think it would have looked really odd.Anyway, other than the size issues it's quite a nice vest, nice strong material and nice looking so whilst I can't recommend this for me, if you can get one to fit properly then it should provide good service as it really is a nice quality item and I'm just disappointed it doesn't fit.
