Saris MHS 1+1 Universal Hitch Base, Modular Bike Rack System for 1.25" or 2" Receivers, Add-On Compatible

After a ton of research I concluded this was the best rack for my needs and concerns. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the Saris MHS line due to their oversight and unwillingness to provide a lighted bracket for a license plate. It is illegal in many states to obstruct the license plate which is what this item will do my truck when installed. Other than that it's a great rack but I'm not excited about traffic tickets and probable cause stops.

Do not buy. I have a 3+1 unit and thought the whole system would be awesome. I have the cargo rack and a double rack and with both of them my tail lights are slightly obscured. So to fix this issue I purchased the light kit as well. Well I come to find out that the light kit can't be installed because the part of the process includes removing bolts from the 3+1 unit and in trying to do so I found the bolts were tightened by the hulk himself. I ended up with a rounded hex key and a rounded out bolt instead of a bolt being removed. I called SARIS and there rep essentially said, "the bolts are meant to be secured so it sounds like it's working correctly". What do you mean? So you made a light kit product that can't be added to the rack because the bolts can't be removed? I would advise not buying SARIS products if this is how customer service treats situations that are clearly a QAQC problem within the design of their system.

do not buy! SELLER DOES NOT REFUND. I noticed my mistake within 2 hours of ordering, I tried to cancel the order but still got stuck getting their overpriced HEAVY PIECE OF EQUIPMENT. I managed to ship it back without opening and still did not receive my full refund. Bad business practice; do yourself a favor and go with different bike hitch rack.
