Works Great But make sure to tighten cap
I have purchased a bunch of these over the years and they consistent bring my TDS down to 0 for my RODI water supply. Make sure to double check the caps as they sometimes come delivered untightened and can leak after installation

This did the job that it was intended to do.
This did the job that it was intended to do. I already had a RO system installed, but I plan of using it for fish in the future. My tap water is 120 on the meter (Florida hard water) and after RO ystem it's about 4-5. After flowing through this filter with DI resin, it goes to zero. Not really important for drinking water, but good for fish. I imagine if you used this with just a simpler water filter, it would improve your water more, but the resin would be depleted faster. It did come with two clips to attach it to one of the "polishing" filters on top of the RO system. which is a nice touch.

Add DI to an existing RO
I bought this to add DI to an existing RO (hydrologic stealth ro 300). it easily keeps up with the flow, my RO is reducing my incoming water from 400 ppm to under 10 and the di filter is reducing it further to zero. Not 1, not 0.1, Zero. it works great. I got over 100 gallons through my first filter, and im using it to feed a 20 gallon tank that i can store for car wash water. one issue i had was that my water pressure in my house was not consistent and the system was backfeeding through the DI filter and using it prematurely. I added a check valve to combat this. Really its only an issue for me because i have a pressurized tank on my output side. The filters are also refillable if you would like to reduce costs.

Works great with the RO system
I bought this and the RO system. I tested the TDS when I first used the system. Not only was my TDS reading 0, it remained at 0 for about 6 weeks. I did another test today as the filter is showing its use. My reading went from 000 to 002 in just over 2 months of use. Very good for the use I'm getting out of it.I keep a 5 gal. bucket full of RO water. Not only do I use this water to top off my aquarium but I use it to make coffee and I cannot be happier. Everyone suffers from the coffee makers slowing down. Well mine did, ran vinager through it several time and then started using RO water and have not had another slow down.My wife will use the RO water to make her beverages with.as well and she is very happy with the results.Update: I had downgraded this item from 5 stars to 3 stars due to the fact the resin in replacements was not lasting long. I have upgraded to 4 stars as the unit is doing a great job. The difference is I am refilling my own tubes now. You can buy bag of resin, unscrew the cap, fill tube with new resin. The best part is the cost savings. These, if you buy them is around $32 each. A bag of resign is about $48. I have already refilled the tubes twice (2x32=64-48= savings of 16). There is still enough resign to fill another 4 or 5 tubes. That's almost a $200 savings once all resin is used. The best part is you can have a filter ready when you need it and not have to order one or order ahead of time.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000X92KOC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Good filter
If you follow the instructions properly there are zero issues with it. I have been using it every few days for weeks and it’s just now starting to turn color. It does say in the instruction booklet that if your water is particularly poor the filter will not last nearly as long. It also specifies deductions based on certain chemicals and production based on water temperature. I do wish the kit didn’t have such a high volume of waste water though.

Convenient
I like the ease of the RO Buddy unit. No messy wet used resin to dump, no filling and packing resin or no cartridge to rinse. Simply exchange a couple of connections and install the water lines.

Works very well I would recommend
TDS 0!!Haven't had to refill resin in over a month. We can tell the difference even after the ROSuggestions for those comments I read. You need a RO system before this cartridge. It is a finisher not for full filtering.I also have a water softener on whole house. For the comments on difficulty opening and resealing cartridge.Hard to open first time. They fill it with resin rather full. Before putting top back on I suggest you use a bit of gasket lube (food grade) on seal and threads. You need to tighten well or it will leak. I was able to open and close easily with no leaks.Might want to put a elbow on supply side (bottom) to prevent kinking of line.I would recommend to all.
