I’m so glad this came in time for the holidays. I love that it’s double sided with two sizes to choose from. Marks cakes and pies for easy and consistent slicing. Durable plastic, looks like it will last a long time! What a great gift for those that like to bake.

Good quality, and really useful for cakes

I have to start by addressing some of the negative reviews -this is NOT a cake cutter! It is a scorer, which will put lines in the top of your cake to show you where to cut. If you try to cut your cake with this, it will smash your cake and ruin it! That is why it is described as a cake scorer! And it works perfectly to give you 10-12 slices out of any cake. Seriously, this is wide enough to handle just about any cake, while also fine for smaller bundt cakes. It is easy to use and easy to clean.

Definitely a good buy if you do cake or pies and need them to be perfectly sliced.

I appreciate the versatility of the portion marker and ease of handling. The only beef I have with it is the rather large middle cutout; being me I still manage to miss the center and cut uneven slices because the guiding lines are only a few inches long. I know it is intended for beautiful center cake decorations but still I find myself completing the marks all across the cake for added security and accuracy.

My work requires nicely cut desserts, and 10 or 12 cuts are difficult to do without guidance. When I tell you we have gone through dozens of the metal kind, I mean it. They warp, they break, and the bend. It they do that, you don’t get even cuts and they are worthless. This thing is still in great condition after purchasing early 2019 (it’s now late 2023), still intact and straight with use every single day. I really wish they made one that marks 6 slices, I’d buy it immediately. If you need to slice cakes and cheesecakes evenly with any regularity, you won’t regret this purchase, especially with the two sizes in one!

I purchased this cake slicer with the hope of making my cake serving easier and more uniform, but unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. The main issue is that it cuts the cake into pieces that are far too small, which not only makes serving less satisfying but also causes the slices to break easily. Every time I try to serve a piece, it ends up crumbling apart before it even makes it to the plate. While the tool is easy to handle and clean, the design needs improvement to accommodate larger, sturdier slices. Not quite the solution I was hoping for.
