Well, it's OK and it does work. But just what I thought might be a problem, is a problem. The grip on each side of the mounting piece that holds the unit onto the phone is 3/8ths of an inch. If you have a phone case that adds practically any thickness to your phone, it won't mount, when you tighten it it pops off. Normally I'd send it back, but I think I can add something to the sides of the mount to hold it on with the case on the phone. If you don't have a case on, it holds well. The photos I took were the first two I took, you have to remember that these are like binoculars, so you have to hold it almost perfectly still to get a clear photo.

I bought this recently and asked for a refund pretty much within 20 minutes of using it. I thought maybe the adjustable clamps would hold better on my Galaxy s7 than the clip on type lenses. I tried this with and without the case on my phone and it wouldn't stay on the phone securely enough either way. Also, the zoom isn't very powerful. This is a 8x zoom NOT 18 like some others have said in their reviews. The 18 is the mm. I'm giving this 2 stars because even though it doesnt stay on the phone very well, it does zoom ok. Not great though. I bought a much cheaper clip on style lens on Amazon that stayed on the phone more securely and also had a better zoom distance. This one is a better lens. Lots of lens glare with just inside lights, have to digitally zoom to get rid of the round aspect, and not super clear. Barely wide enough for the note 8 with ultra thin case. The phone clamp and lens position use the same screw so it's a pain to set up. It's not a total waste.. but it's less than what I was expecting from other people's reviews. Looks and feels cheap. It does have a focus ring that works fairly well. Once it's set up and screwed down tight, it seems pretty solid. If you're a photographer, you'll be a bit disappointed. If you just want snap shots of objects further away, go ahead and but it!

I’ve now used this for my son’s track meets, and multiple Christmas and end of year performances of my children. It’s ncie to be 18 rows back and still be able to focus in on my child. Fits my Galaxy S5 just great. A bit of circulizing the picture, but not bad.

Fun little lens. Takes some time to put it on and get it tight. I missed a bear in Alaska because I couldn’t get it on fast enough. Don’t use this as much as the wide angle one.

came as advertised and fits on my IPhone as instructed but the lense is too small and puts a black ring around the scene in the picture.Actual picture area is about 70% of the whole screen area.

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased this cautiously optimistic. I took to a concert and got great videos. with pictures my hand is not as steady so it was a hit or miss with but oh well.we where so far back in the video. works better in the day but my favorite product I've bought on Amazon.

Dose does not work on a Motorola nexus 6....it can't mount without mushing side buttons. Made well and Zoom is good if I hold it over the camera Lenz
