This stuff really works! My city backyard is constantly swarmed with flies and within a day of using this solution, the container was half-filled. I've filled multiple containers since first getting the trap - it's great that you can throw out the dead flies (gross) and keep using the same trap with these refills. Absolutely worth it if you want to massacre hundreds of flies in a couple days and sit on your patio in peace. The smell isn't great, so I wouldn't bring it inside, but I've sat within 10 feet of it many times and haven't noticed the smell outside.

I absolutely love these. I have tried everything to get rid of horseflies and let me tell you nothing was working. My horse was getting stung, left and right no matter how much manure we picked up every day the flies were still attacking him. We couldn’t even swim in our pool without keeping nets next to us to whack The horse flies and man they leave welts. This stuff really works. It does smell absolutely awful but it works. It attracts so many flies and even worked on bees, I will definitely be back in the spring for more refills

This saved me all summer. Its easy to use just place the packet in the fly catching container and add water. I noticed that having these out in my yard kept flies away from my home. It seems that every summer flies wait for a door to open to come in to my home yet with this product the flies stay outside as they are attracted to this product. It does smell which is what brings flies to it and traps them. I keep it far enough on my fence and the smell doesn't bother me. I don't even smell it unless a strong wind comes thru. I havent found anything else that works to keep flies out.

Given my experience, I wouldn't suggest spending money on the pre-made traps; a DIY approach is simpler and more effective for my needs.

These work great. I have one in my front yard and one in my back yard and they do attract and trap the flies. If you have a fly problem, these traps are excellent!
