Genuine Analog Joysticks Repair Kit for PlayStation 4 and 5 - Fix Stick Drift, Broken, and Loose Joysticks on Dualsense and Dualshock 4 Controllers

I've ordered several sets of these and ive never so much as had one out of spec. These are easily my favorite alps style potentiometers to use. Resistance and Voltage values are within spec every single time i've tested them. There's a common misconception with these joysticks that because they're not center out of the box there is something wrong with them and the reality is that the only thing that matters are the voltage and resistance readings from your multimeter. Your controller board is looking for a specific resistance value to determine center point. Very rarely is your replacement center right out the box. Now at least for Dualshock and Dualsense; you can calibrate these and none of this matters. Before calibration, i was off center enough to drift and circularity was shifted greatly in one axis. After calibration, but joysticks are center with full range and uniform circularity.

They are working amazing. They were a great fit on my DualShock ps4 controller, no more stick drift which was driving me nuts. The video on YouTube was a plus . It definitely is worth the money because i got to fix 3 controllers.

Excellent kit and the YouTube video helped a ton. I highly recommend a desolder gun that can apply heat and vacuum. I got one for $35 on Amazon that made it sooo much better. Fixed both of my ps5 controllers.

Even with the proper tools, replacing PS5 joystick modules is not a simple task. It requires a solid understanding of soldering and desoldering. With several decades of hobbyist experience, I was confident in taking on this project. My goal was to replace the left joystick in two PS5 controllers, both of which were experiencing severe stick drift. After installing the replacement joystick in the first controller, I connected it to my computer and used a calibration/testing tool. Immediately, I noticed a dead zone and significant leftward drift. I attempted the multi-step calibration process multiple times, but was unable to correct the issue. I then moved on to the second controller. After installing a new joystick, I encountered the same problem—leftward drift that could not be resolved through calibration. To rule out installation error, I returned to the first controller, removed the replacement joystick, and installed another new unit from the package. Unfortunately, the third joystick exhibited the same drifting issue. After three failed replacements, I decided to try a different type of joystick (Hall effect). Following installation and calibration, I am pleased to report that the drift issue was completely resolved. At this point, I cannot determine whether I received a defective batch or if the overall quality is inconsistent. However, based on my experience, these particular joysticks did not perform as expected.
