Great product! No issues!
50 Pack Acoustic Foam Panels,2"X 12" X 12." I wanted to wait until I purchased my second set to do this review so that it would be honest and accurate. To be clear, these are not for sound proofing...they are for sound absorption just like a sponge absorbing water. They absorb room reflections but do not block sound. They're foam. One example is for vocals to keep the reverb in the room from coming into the mic. This will not keep noise like cars passing by, helicopters flying above, HVAC, or other noise from coming in hence, they will not block sound and soundproof your area. This is something that you as the consumer need to understand and accept BEFORE you purchase these panels. As sound absorption panels, they are good quality panels and work great! Also, to be clear, I am in no way telling, suggesting, or recommending anyone to NOT purchase these panels. They are good quality panels and I have had no issues with them! First thing to know that it clearly says that the adhesive tape does not come with the panels...you have to purchase your own. These are NOT self-adhesive! Second, when using the adhesive tape like 3m, you will need some additional adhesive like Gorilla Glue as foam doesn't always stick to the adhesive tape or the wall. Third, be patient! The best method is to let them set out for at least three days. The first two days is for the "smell" to air out while getting air in. The third day is an extra measure to examine them to see if any forming needs to be done. Pic 1: When then arrived and after I took the package out of the Amazon Box. Pic 2: When I took them out of the main wrapping. There are two vacuum sealed packs. Pic 3: When I took them out of the main wrapping. Since it's now unsealed, air started coming in and they already started expanding. Note: They expand quickly so prepare to get them out of the back quick! Pic 4: What they looked like 5 minutes later. Some expanded in full and some didn't and are deformed. There are two to each "stack". Pic 5: One of the "stacks" that was still somewhat compressed and deformed. Pic 6: After I pulled apart the stack that was still somewhat compressed. One panel. Pic 7. The other panel. Notice on both panel the triangles are deformed. Pic 8: Me beginning to pull the triangles gently. Pic 9: Me fully and gently pulling the triangles gently. As you can see, it's already getting it's form back. For the panels that are deformed, gently pulling the foam to get it to form helps get more air in and they will get their form quicker! This part takes patience! Those that said the panels would not take shape or stay deformed are not doing this to help shape the panels! Pic 10: All 50 Panels laid out and getting air All of this was done within one hour. They still need air out to completely form. Although the directions state 24 hours, it's better to wait 3 days. On my first set, I sprayed some Febreze to further take out the smell and will do the same to these. This does not take away their absorption properties.

A good investment.
It's a little bit of a challenge to peel the back off but it so worth it. They so cut down on the noise the people above me created. They smell good as well. Well worth the money to get sleep.

Not 12 by 12 buyer beware.
Decided to try them again. still not 12 inches but made them work. I did have about 10 that would not stick so that was a letdown. First order was super sticky. I ordered enough to do a small bathroom also but did not have enough because of the nonstick ones, so I am returning some. They are easy to install and help just a bit with noise BUT they are not 12 inches. The are 11.75 and I had 3 areas to put them. Exactly 3 foot and 2 exactly 4 foot. So I ended up with an inch and a half not covered. the length of the ceiling. I would have returned if I had measured before I spent 12 hours up and down a ladder. I am going to get some trim wood to cover the space. Something I didn't expect to have to do. They do look nice and stick very good but if I have to pull them down I will ruin the ceiling. I would recommend them whole heartedly if they were as advertised.

You won't regret it if it's used for it's intended purpose!
Bought this pack twice, very good product. The Walmart double sided acrylic tape works wonders with these panels. They stuck for over a year and would of stayed stuck for many years if we didn't have to move. I also used T Pins where I could to keep them mounted. They sound treat a room beautifully and they look great! Will continue to buy this product if I ever need more.

Not effective, but look great
I bought these panels to absorb some of my dog's barking. My wall is 13' X 9' and I bought four packs of the light blue, two of the grey, and two of the black (I ended up with 2 blue and 8 of the grey/black each left over). They look great, and I can confirm that the adhesive is paint safe and effective. But the sound-absorption effect is marginal at best. They're great for absorbing very light noise, but not loud sounds like dogs barking or music. The adhesive is also a bit difficult to work with. It tends to stick better to the paper cover than the panel which makes removing the cover difficult. Also, the panels are not all the same size, which added a headache to this project. You'll definitely need a box cutter to make them fit, and if you're particular about them fitting perfectly with each other, these are not for you, or you may want to hire a professional to install them. Bottom line, I don't recommend these if you're looking for a legitimate sound-proofing solution. I love the design I came up with and am pleased with the color choices, but that's about the only redeeming quality these panels have.

MILITARY GRADE ADHESIVE!!! UNREMOVABLE!!
Adhesive is far, far, far too strong. These are absolutely NOT renter friendly. I wish I had read the reviews before making this purchase and sticking them up on my wall. For anyone else who ended up in my position, here was my method: Let Goo Gone spray gel soak into the adhesive for at least 1 hour, maybe up to 3 hours and be sure to re-apply a few times. After the adhesive backing starts to pull away from the wall a little, go in with a plastic scraping device (I used a plastic dough bench scraper). Be patient, and try to peel as much of the adhesive off of the wall as possible, rather than just scraping. Use the scraper to work your way around edges and give yourself little areas to start peeling up with your fingers. This process and the trial and error of figuring it out took me about 4 and a half hours, during which I took no breaks and swore like a sailor. I’ll never buy these again. Also they didn’t even make my room less echo-ey.

Great panels. Cheap ones, but pretty decent.
Had these for probably a couple years on my wall now, can't complain about the adhesive at all! Holds very strongly and would likely strip the paint on my wall if I had to take them off, can't complain about that! These look great and are dense enough to take the echo out of rooms which allows for a better listening experience. For how much they were, I really can't complain at all, I like them! I like the look of these over the foam ones!

Would work better if able to apply on side of noise source but still help a great deal
Needed to finish soundproofing a shared wall with noisy neighbors & the only place left to cover was the inside of the kitchen cabinets (upper & lower) - applying these to the inside back wall of each section after filling in joints with caulk. Easy to cut & & place with existing adhesive for a nice snug fit. The white color will blend well with the white exterior of the cabinets. I know these would work much better on the other side of the wall where the noise originates, but they are still helping a great deal on my side of the wall. No longer hear their TV/radio or normal talking - doesnt do much for their big dog barking or them arguing at full volume tho. Best i can do for & expect from a rental.

great value!
I bought these to add some sound proofing to my music room and they do a fantastic job. I think I purchased about 3 bundles of 50 to do the majority of two walls. I put them up on the styrofoam sheets that are up against the concrete foundation so they help with the temperature downstairs as well. At first I tried double sided tape squares but they didn't stay up so I hot glue gunned them on and they won't come off unless I pry them off if I ever move. The pattern looks fantastic and the room now has a studio quality to it that impresses anyone who comes by to jam or visits and gets a tour. Highly recommend this product.

Great if you don't have to relocate it
Looked good, easy to install. Turns out the adhesive is still strong enough to peel paint off the wall. Good thing I had to repaint anyways.
