I'm giving this watch 5 stars because it's exactly what it's supposed to be, which is a cheap watch that looks decent and tells me what time it is. It's easy to set, the alarm is easy to figure out, and the stop watch is just as simple. The indiglo backlight is decently bright and at night is very viable and easy to read. The numbers are letters are decently sized. I work in a shop rebuilding swimming pool motors, so i bang my hands and limbs all time time, and this watch hasn't cracked or broken yet. I did scratch the screen but that's to be expected with what i do.I also saw another person's review state that it wasn't wateroroof. Well i don't take it off when i shower or when i wash my hands which is about 10 times a day or more especially when im working. So over all for the price I can't complain at all about this watch. It looks good, it's really thin, and it's durable enough to survive me for over a month now and that says a lot. I don't expect it to turn many heads, but it tells me the time. Not sure how long the battery lasts because i just got it, and not sure how accurate it will be after a while, but I'll update in a couple months with more details.

As of this review, I have owned the watch for just a little over a month. I bought the black resin version, not metal. Once I wear a watch, I do not take it off. So over the past month, I have worn this watch 24/7, while I sleep and in all activities of daily life. Lets just jump straight into the pros and cons. Pros: thin, light, easy to read, looks pretty good, so far no scratches, no water or moisture issues in hot and cold showers, has the date/time/day of the week all on one screen, and very affordable. Cons: straps are on the harder plaster feel rather than soft silicon rubber, loses about 4-5 seconds each week. Cycling through the modes get you to the time setup rather than having to press two buttons at the same time or holding a button for a few seconds to set the time. This is a con for me because it's very easy to accidentally cycle to the time setup mode and potentially adjust your time by accident. I've ended up on the time setup mode quite a few times and that may be a contributing factor to losing 4-5 seconds a week. I bought this watch to replace my $14 Casio just to change it up a bit without having to pay a lot of money and being afraid of damaging it because of my active life style. My Casio has been super reliable and has gone through two strap replacement already just to illustrate that I beat my watch up on the daily. Overall, for a sub $20 watch, the Golden Hour watch is pretty good. Again, my biggest issues with it is the loss of time and mode button.

This watch has been solid. Never an issue with water intrusion. Took it through basic training and now through officer candidate school. It’s low profile, gets tons of compliments. It has an easy to read display. The battery lasts for over a year easy. I replaced it only because I didn’t want to take the chance on it going dead in the middle of training. Pair it with a nylon watch band if you want a bullet proof setup. Backlight is adjustable. You can turn the button beeps off too.

The battery for my Ironman watch died, and when i was unsuccessful at replacing it, I decided to just buy a new watch. When I saw the price for this compared to an Ironman watch, I was skeptical, but decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. This watch is elegant but no frills, it has all the needed functions like stopwatch, etc. It has a great heft to it which makes it feel like it'll last forever. My only complaint is that the nighttime backlight isn't as strong as I would prefer. I'm not really a watch guy, but I like this one so much I actually enjoy keeping it on. So comfortable I've actually slept with it and didn't realize it until the morning. Bottom line: A good value for the $.

Update: after some time with the watch the irritation went away, and the watch is holding up well, only noticeable wear is a small scratch on the surface. I wear it when washing my hands but keep it away from any other amount of water. Strap is still brand new. I often find it in the timer mode from just moving around, which gets annoying, but overall its okay enough that I haven't gotten a new watch. This watch is mostly pros, but it has some pretty big flaws that are hard for me to get over. PROS: It fits great, and the rubber strap is comfortable and snug. The size of the watch makes reading it at a distance easy, and it is quite thin, as advertised, which is great for someone like me who prefer wearing their watches on the inside of their wrist. It has a nice time function, and I especially like the date and day of week on the watch as well. Watch also has a timer with a lap function, an alarm with a snooze option, and a 4th screen to set the time. Simple and functional, with a good sleek design. CONS: The single most frustrating thing for me is the sound. Seen in the video, the watch beeps when you press the mode button, and I haven't found a way to turn this beeping off. This is really annoying for me as I adjust my watch a lot, and the buttons are really easy to accidentally press. This leads into my other issue, that when you're in other modes (such as the timer) there is no quick way to get back to the time mode, you have to cycle through the rest of the modes. I was hoping to be able to hold the mode button to return back to the time mode, this alone would mostly remedy the previous issues, but all of these combined make for a lot of time spent fiddling with my watch to get it back to the correct mode. Another thing to point out is the watch is NOT WATER PROOF, it is only water resistant, enough to withstand getting water splashed on it while washing your hands or possibly taking a shower, but NOT enough for swimming. I also personally find the design of the outer ring around the screen to be rather ugly. One other issue I've encountered is the metal appears to slightly irritate my skin, which my last watch didn't. Overall, its a functional watch, but for the price, I would look for something with better features and settings.

Mine arrived with Central time, not so good for East nor West Coast, and of course not so hot for travel to Honolulu or Shanghai. The little 2"x3" booklet in micro-print does not tell how to set the correct time, but online there is a manual that tells how: press mode three times, then start/stop, then reset (cycles through hours, minutes, seconds, date), then start/stop until correct time shows, and once you get the right time, press mode again (total time elapsed: 1.76 seconds, a quick-watch). Otherwise, yeah, yeah ... nice slim watch, inconscpicuous, feather-weight, alarm function, glows in dark, keep out of reach of children, low carbon footprint, no cowfarts, easy read, day and date, not machine washable, but if you refer paying $25,000 for a two-pound look-at-me, that's a matter of social fitness I guess.

Ich habe diese Uhr gekauft, weil ich einen Ersatz für meine analoge MilTec, die mir viele Jahre gute Dienste bei dreckigen Arbeiten Untertage, beim Paddeln und sonstigen Outdoor-Einsätzen geleistet hatte, suche. Das habe ich aber ganz schnell vergessen, als ich die Uhr dann in meinen Händen hielt und sie am Handgelenk hatte: Diese Uhr ist, trotz ihres günstigen Preises, viel zu schade dazu: Ein hervorragend ablesbares und einfach strukturiertes Display (auch im Dunklen dank der Hintergrundbeleuchtung), nur mit den notwendigen Grundfunktionen, wie Zeit, Datum und Wochentag, Stoppuhr und Wecker ausgestattet, einfach zu bedienen und hervorragend verarbeitet! Sie wird nun meine Uhr für den normalen Berufs- und Freizeitalltag sein; für dreckige Einsätze tut es auch noch die alte, ramponierte MilTec und für Bergwanderungen benutze ich sowieso meine Suunto Core. Was Genauigkeit und Haltbarkeit betrifft, das werde ich dann ja sehen. Aber nach meinen ersten Eindrücken: Absolute Empfehlung!

Buena, cómoda y guapa

Mi occorreva un orologio legibile con cronografo che si legesse bene anche di notte per prendere i tempi delle mie lezioni sportive, logicamente lo desideravo anche impermiabile, questo bellissimo segna tempo ha centrato le mie pretese e aspettative. È ottimo, funzionale , leggero, sottile, impermiabile con cronografo, bip ad ogni ora ma si può togliere se non lo si vuole e sveglia. L'orario si legge bene anche verso sera, basta una leggera luce fioca di un lune e i numeri si notano bene , ed inoltre ha anche la propria illuminazione, verde azzurra, in caso di buio assoluto. Prezzo qualità eccellente. Lo indosso sempre, lo trovo comodo talmente tanto che i miei orologi meccanici li ho riposti nella cassetta di sicurezza.
