Sunflower great, Daisy not so much (updated all are great)
Updated- thank you for fixing the videos for the Daisy. I made beautiful flowers. The video and instruction for the sunflower was great, but the Daisy is very different and lacks supporting videos. How do you connect the petals to the center of the Daisy? Where do you do each row for the Daisy? Needs a little more clarification for us actual beginners. As a true beginner, I was able to make a very cute sunflower. Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to move forward with the Daisy.

Should’ve read the reviews
No instructions included. Just directions to go to a website and go from there. This was a gift and now instead of finding ways to stay offline-this young girl will need to go online. Again.

No instructions, just a QR code to follow a video
All of the supplies were in this kit. That’s great. The 2 star review is because there are no written instructions just a QR code to follow along with a video. That would be tedious and not necessary IF there were written instructions!

IMPORTANT missing items..
I was so excited about this, as a new crotcher.. but when I opened the box the ONLY things in this box, was the yarn and the branches. NO instructions, needle, markers, or hooks. how am I supposed to learn something when they isn't even instructions?!

Fun and Unique Crochet Project
This is a great kit if you enjoy crochet projects and want to try something a little different. I had a lot of fun making the flowers, and I’m pretty pleased with how they turned out (and I’ve already gotten compliments on them!). Since the kit came boxed very nicely with all the pieces inside, it would also make a lovely gift for someone who crochets. I would definitely recommend this kit for someone who already has at least a little crocheting experience. Some thoughts on different parts of the kit below—Video Tutorial:The video tutorial is thorough -- it walks you through every step of the process Some angles aren’t the best, but if you have some basic crochet experience you can get everything you need from the video. I had some trouble in that the control overlay on YouTube was on top of the running instructions at the bottom of the screen if I paused, and it would have been nice if the font stood out a bit better against the background (I had to get my glasses), but all in all it was a great tool.Yarn:The yarn itself is soft and vibrant, and I loved the look of the flowers at the end. It does split easily (not great for beginners), and I had a few snags, but it is workable. There seems to be plenty to make several flowers – I still had a lot left after making both the daisy and the sunflower.Hook:It is a tapered hook closer in style to the Boye/Clover than the Susan Bates, and it has a comfortable grip. The handle is smaller than my regular crochet hooks, but I found it comfortable to work with. I worked the flowers with it to try it out, and I had no problems. The included needle and stitch markers are pretty standard and work as expected.Glue Stick:You will need a lighter or a heat source to melt the glue stick. It worked fine, if a little messy. I switched to a glue gun after my first one since that was much easier and cleaner, but the lighter/glue stick option is serviceable in a pinch if you don’t have a glue gun.Skill Level:I would call myself an intermediate crocheter, and I agree with other reviewers who said they wouldn’t suggest this kit for someone who is an absolute beginner – while the video tutorial is great, the written instructions assume you would know you should start with a magic circle (and how to make one), and they assume you know how to transition between rounds. It would have been nice if the written instructions included all of the steps (the slip stich and chain in between rounds, or when to add stuffing, or the number of stitches you should have after each round) – just for easy reference. They also are missing some stitches in some cases (the last step of the daisy leaves, for example, is missing two chains in the sequence). This information is on the video. The work itself is also not particularly easy for a beginner – working in small rounds isn’t something I could have jumped into without some familiarity and experience with basic stitches. However, this is a totally do-able project for a beginner who has a few projects under their belt and is looking for a new challenge. If you already have some crochet experience (or have ever made amigurumi), this should be a breeze.Overall, it’s a great little kit and a fun project.

Beginner? Maybe not
I don't know how to crochet but I do know how to knit. I always thought that crocheting was harder than knitting but people have told me crocheting is basically just one-handed knitting (makes sense, right?). I guess knitting has loops and crocheting has knots so they're kind of similar. Anywho I got this because I thought it was a unique crocheting set and it said it was for beginners. Well maybe it's not for beginners and maybe it's more for in between beginner and intermediate. I haven't completed all the flowers yet but I must say I love this set. Bonus - I didn't know there would be video instructions and I just looove video instructions! I can do both written and video but I find it easier when I can clearly see what the instructions want you to do as opposed to having to interpret what the instructions are. To each their own I suppose.I got a couple other crochet sets from this same company and I'm happily working my way towards completing each one. I think I may actually like crocheting better since I don't have to use two needles and I can just use one crochet hook.Overall happy with this purchase and I already bought other sets like I said before. :)

A little complicated for a beginner, but a good set
The materials in this set seem to be very good quality. Unfortunately, this was just a little outside of my skill level, as I am a true beginner. The video was too fast for me to follow, even on .5x speed and constant rewinding. This kit would be great for someone with a moderate level of experience!
