Strong Yet Pain Free Tape, Tears Easily, For Sensitive Skin, 1 Roll

This is an essential addition to any first aid kit. It uses a proprietary silicone adhesive that provides a secure, reliable hold even on hairy areas, yet it lifts away cleanly and absolutely painlessly. It’s perfect for sensitive skin or for wounds that require frequent dressing changes. The tape is breathable, water-resistant, and incredibly easy to tear in both directions—no scissors required. It provides a level of comfort and "pain-free" removal that standard athletic or paper tapes just can't match.

I use this as mouth tape, to keep my mouth closed while sleeping. It works very well, is adhesive, but will remove easily when you want to take it off. After trying MANY tapes designated specifically as “mouth” tape, this is by far the best. Many of the ones marketed as “mouth” tape, are either not adhesive enough, or are impossible to remove, or leave a sticky residue that’s difficult to get off. This one will be my go-to for mouth tape.

I've been using the plastic "X" style tape for over 1.5 years and switched to Nexcare 3 weeks ago. I like it so much more than the individual X tapes. I highly recommend trying out Nexcare as mouth tape while sleeping. Cost: This is a no-brainer. The plastic "X" style tape strips individual tape strips are very expensive. Nexcare is cheap *and* the roll looks like it's going to last a very long time. Ease of use: Nexcare is on a roll and can be easily torn with fingers alone. The edge of the roll is easy to find and pull up because the tape has a little bit of thickness. So, getting a piece just before sleeping is quick and easy. The plastic "X" style tape strips require some fidgeting with the paper or plastic that the strip comes on, and I almost always ended up bending a corner of it onto itself. Feel: Nexcare is soft to the point where I forget it is on my lips at all. The stiff plastic "X" style tape strips are not very comfortable and could make my lips a bit itchy at times. Reapplying: The Nexcare tape is super sticky and easy to apply and reapply -- I sip water about 2x per night. The X tapes did not stick as well after reapplying, but the Nexcare is just as good. Lip balm: I can also apply some lip balm to the corners of my mouth when needed after putting on the Nexcare tape, and only the edges of the tape lose their stickiness. When I tried that with the plastic "X" style strips, the entire tape would lose its stickiness almost immediately. Residue: Some reviews said they get a residue on their lips after taking the Nexcare off. I haven't experienced that. It's possible that some rolls have this problem and others do not. Or that it's very sensitive to heat, and that occurs after too much heat exposure. I'm only guessing, though. Customizability: Since you tear off a piece of Nexcare tape with your fingers, you can customize it to the perfect length for your lips. I only cover about an inch of my lips, so I could always breathe through the corners of my mouth while sleeping, if necessary (but this hasn't happened). The plastic "X" style strips are one size only. Trust: The companies that sell the plastic "X" style strips change all the time. I could never buy the same product twice (3+ months apart) because they would disappear, only to be replaced by another company and a different-looking product. Nexcare is made by 3M, which has been around for decades and is used in medical settings. I trust the ingredients of Nexcare much more because of that.

I use this to tape my son’s G-tube down and also the cord that I do his feeds through on his belly and it worked so much better. He has sensitive skin. And this tape has been the one that works the best but I would like to say that it doesn’t stick as good as it used to. I’m not sure why I’ve been using it for about six or seven months and I just keep buying more. It is worth it.

I was allergic all kinds of Band-Aids. The latex and adhesive gave me contact dermatitis. This stuff is really kind to your skin and sticks. Great product!

Quality tape of good value. Primarily use it as mouth tape and it performs way better than the devoted mouth tape I have tried. It sticks well and comes off easy and can be removed and reapplied. Way better value also. Will buy again when this roll runs out.

This silicone adhesive tape is marketed as pain-free for removal, which is a nice idea, and it does come off without irritation. However, the adhesive did not stay secure and lost hold too easily, making it unreliable for longer use. Overall, it didn’t perform well in terms of staying power.

Definitely not one to leave a review on medical tape but I unfortunately had to get a crazy mouth guard for sleep. I tried a few brands of mouth tape, they were expensive, left residue on my face, and felt like i was dying. This tape is soft, easy to tear, and barely leaves any residue. I use it for mouth tape but have also used it for blisters and worked great.
