Brabantia113222 Pedal Bin newIcon with Plastic Inner Bucket, 3 Litre - Matt Steel

I bought this 3l bin for my bathroom, which has a tiled floor and tiled walls. The description says it is non-slip, but it definitely is not. Every time I put my toes on the pedal - even very, very, carefully - the bin slides backwards and the lid pops up and crashes against the tiled wall. The soft-close is quiet but the crash-open is very loud. I'm constantly pulling the bin forward and it is constantly sliding backward. I sent Brabantia a photo of the base to ask if the non-slip part was missing from my bin but they said no - the non-slip part is that 1cm ring of white plastic underneath the pedal. It doesn't work. I can't weigh the bin down by filling it with sand because then the flip mechanism would be obstructed. I can't add rubber feet to the base because the only part in contact with the floor is the narrow ring of plastic around the outside. I'm returning it for a refund.

I cannot recommend this product highly enough! It’s easy to clean due to the materials, and doesn’t require bin bags due to the hard plastic inside the bin, what I tend to do, is when it’s full, I take the hard plastic out and empty the waste straight into the dustbin, you immediately save money on those tiny bin bags that seem to be a prerequisite for other bins! Due to the clearly high quality materials this bin is made from, I really can see this product lasting a long time, I would highly recommend this Brabantia Bin!

It's a bin. A good quality bin at that. Ignore the picture of a bread bin - it's a small pedal bin.
