Go by an original!, I bought this Part and I threw it away after a week and purchased an OEM part. So do not waste your money on Chinese cheap parts if you want your Benz to work right.

Does this work for a 2002 benz s55 amg?

It would appear that it'd fit. Becareful though as a lot of oem replacement parts don't work correctly in Mercedes-Benz. The two brands that have worked everytime is Bosch and Uro parts. I've had no luck with doorman, bapmic, etc.

My mercedez benz is 2005 c-230 kompressor 1.8 4 doors sedan

I assume this one will fit it. It works great in mine

Immediately did not work and I did not notice it until my check engine light came on, checked the codes, P0505 and P0455. I kept getting errors on the gas cap as well.
