I bought this for my son to take on his Duke of Edinburgh Silver expedition so he and his friends could keep their phones topped up (mainly so they could catch the football in the evenings!). Overall, it's a really useful bit of kit and I'm glad we bought it. It feels well made, it is quite heavy, has a good battery capacity and is easy to clip onto a backpack while you're out walking. It would also be handy to leave on a car dashboard or take camping. The only disappointment was the charging speed. I wasn't expecting miracles from the four solar panels, but after around five hours in the blazing heatwave sunshine, the battery indicator was still showing the same two bars. Charging it from the mains with a fast charger block and lead was quicker, (which I knew would be the case) although it still took around six hours to go from two bars to fully charged. So half charged to full. So my advice would be to charge it fully at home before you leave and think of the solar panels as a way to very slowly top it up or help in an emergency, rather than as the main charging method. It charged 3 phones all new models over a 3 day hike as top up charges and came back with 3 bars. So it's definitely a great bit of kit. Perfect for camping. Despite that, the convenience and peace of mind it offers easily outweigh the slow charging, and I'd still recommend it for hiking, camping and festivals.

The solar side is a bit of a gimmick. To gather enough energy to be useful you're talking A3. But I knew that; it does charge in UK mild sunshine, the panels in faux leather provides a nice surface to rest your phone and the body feels solid. Like the dust cap.

Charging out of port 2 intermittent. From fully charged it managed to charge 2 half charged phones twice before pack was flat. Solar didn't appear to charge the pack at all when in a field on the hottest, sunniest June day on record. Not at all impressed.

Very slow to charge on solar but ill give it some time and may upgrade this review in a few weeks

I used this to charge my phone and camera during a week long trek into the Sahara. It worked very well and I always had power. My fellow traveller had a fancier model from another company which showed the charge level as a percentage , but I was perfectly happy with this model. It charged reasonably quickly (desert sun) and was light and easy to use.

Even better than I'd hoped. Can charge using sun or normal electricity. A really good powerpack and not too big.

I have been looking for a good solar charger as I am going on a long term backpacking trip. Mainly around Florida and in the south so there is a lot of strong sun when there isn't a thunderstorm. This device does the job amazingly. It charges your phone, light etc. extremely fast with it's increased fast charging capabilities. The battery at 25000 is huge and could probably charge my phone fully at least 8 times. There is no better pack for the money. I even carry it with me around the house so I'm not tied to a wall! Another bonus is the solar panels! These are legit, they fold up so you have four total. This means that it can actually recharge itself at a practical rate just from the sun. I have yet to even need to worry about finding wall power so far. The solar feature is why I bought it and it does the job great. USB-C based which allows for charging in and out from the middle port. So technically you can charge three devices at once. This is a fantastic battery. if it's for camping, travelling etc., it really changes the game and provides you with security and freedom. Only downside is that it has some weight to it, some people may think it is a little heavy but that's more based on opinion. The construction is sturdy and it definitely has great outdoor durability. For around $40 you won't find anything better!

Charging port cover does not close well, Poor fit/seal. Otherwise, works great.
