Can I use computer wire for this unit?

No, you can not use computer wire. The RadonAway RP140 operates with a 120 volt power source. Be sure that power source, wire gauge and connection to the fan unit is in compliance with your local electrical codes.

Is the warranty only 90 days for homeowners who are not radon professionals?

I can honor the 5 year warranty for you.

Currently i have a static system.can i install it (rp140) in my unfinished basement? if not what would be the issue?

No the fan has to be installed either outside on the side of the house with the vent pipe terminating above the roof line or in the attic venting through the roof. The reason is that if for any reason the system develops a leak you will technically be pumping your basement full of radon.

can i attach to a 3 inch pvc pipe with a flexible 3 X 4 connector?

Yes the RP140 is joined to 3" pipe with 3"x4" rubber couplings.
