A great value for a starter set and really excellent customer service!
PLEASE READ MY UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM Pros- Balls are great quality. Bag holds things nicely. And is decent quality. Paddles are well built. Cons- I have bracketed this next part as it no longer applies sine the update. [The grip on the paddle is TOO THIN. We have compared with multiple other paddles and had many people hold the paddle and others. There is no getting around it. The paddle has been uncomfortable for everyone to hold. I still use it, but I am thinking of modifying it to better fit my hand. Otherwise I will have to give up on these paddles.] The ball holder part of the bag is annoying to use but functional. UPDATE: I have been contacted by the seller/manufacturer who has gone to extraordinary lengths to make me happy. He has refunded my purchase and worked with his factory to modify the handles so that they are thicker which will be rolled out soon. Honestly I am totally blown away by this. Also, since writing this review, I have taken a dremel to one of the paddles to sand away some of the wood near the top of the grip. The thinness of the handle was forcing my pointer finger to get jammed against this bracing which was causing the discomfort. Modifying the paddle in this way has greatly improved their comfort and I remain very impressed with the actual paddle surface. I have added a star to my review for such excellent customer service and will definitely be buying the updated kit when it comes out which I assume will bump up my review to a 5-star rating! Thank you so much Ping Larse! Second Update: Well, what can I say, Ping really came through. He sent me a pair of new paddles with the thicker handle. I have to say the paddles are now sooooo much more comfortable to hold! Personally, I have still gone ahead and modified them by sanding down the bracing a little bit, but I think that's just personal preference, and I didn't remove nearly as much material as before. Took 3 minutes with the dremel. I have updated my score to five stars because I now honestly believe this product deserves it. A great value for a really great set of paddles. Also, I can now say the balls included in this set are definitely great quality. I have since purchased more and different balls and these compare very favorably.

These paddles & balls are great, and the customer service is amazing!
Background: I'm a fairly avid ping-pong player. I've been playing an average of once or twice per day on weekdays for about four years with a fairly competitive group of coworkers. I purchased a ping-pong table for my home a couple of weeks ago, and also purchased these paddles & balls along with it. Review: I've been using these paddles & balls with four of my children (ages six through twelve) for about two weeks with a new ping-pong table in our garage. The paddles seem well made, solid, and I like their weight. They're slightly heavier than the more expensive Joola paddle I use with my coworkers, and I think I prefer the weight of these paddles. They seem reasonably "sticky" to help add spin to the ball when serving, but not super "sticky" like some other paddles I've used that are 20 times the cost of these. These seem perfect for our family, and are not a noticeable "step down" from my Joola paddle. The ping-pong balls are excellent. I performed a "bounce test" of these with some three-star Stiga balls, and the bounce was identical. The carrying case with these paddles is a nice touch. It's nothing fancy, but it provides a place to keep the paddles and eight balls so they don't get dusty/dirty in the garage when we're not using them. The customer service from JP WinLook has been extraordinary. They've provided a generous warranty, sent me emails proactively asking me to let them know if I encounter any problems (which I have not), and somehow managed to deliver the package two days before the earliest expected delivery date (which was amazing because it happened to be the same day I finished assembling our new table - and a new table with only one paddle would not have been much fun). One final thought - I've noticed several reviews complaining about an unpleasant odor from the paddles. I did not experience this at all. I did notice a slight odor when I first opened the paddles, but it was not unpleasant. My six year-old said it smelled good. I wouldn't go that far, but it was barley noticeable and went away completely after a day or two. My advice - if you're hesitant to purchase these paddles due to some reviews mentioning an odor, it's not worth worrying about - just buy them!

Quality paddles, happy with purchase
Update: Since using these more I've realized the handles are a bit short for an adult. We still like them, but it would be nice to have another 1" on the handle. Nice quality paddles & balls with storage case. The paddles come with a thin film over each side that need to be removed. Once the film is removed, the head of the paddles are a bit tacky feeling. There was no noticeable odor upon opening. The handles are comfortable with no splinters or defects and the paddles are a good weight. The case feels a bit cheap and could be improved. We have been enjoying the paddles/balls without issue. Overall we are happy with this purchase.

Great quality, but terrible chemical odor for the first week after you open them-----Please SEE UPDATE
As far as quality of the set goes, that is 5 stars. They are awesome. They feel really well made, and I'm happy to have them. I originally deducted one star because they smell HORRIBLE when you first open them. They have an awful chemical smell that will fill the whole room and make it so that you can't even stay in there. Seriously, it is hard to believe how bad they smell. After I opened them, I had to put them in the attic for about a week to let all that smell dissipate. I was very close to returning them because it was unbearable. But after about a week in the attic with a small fan blowing on them, the smell is pretty much all gone. We couldn't use them for the first week, but now they are great, and no smell. UPDATE 4/19 - PLEASE READ: The seller contacted me and gave an explanation for the odor, and that they have taken steps to reduce the odor. He said it is natural rubber, and the smell comes form the process that heats the rubber to make the surface tacky for spin. He said that if the paddles are packaged too soon after this process, the smell is strong. He said they have changed this process to let them air out longer before packaging so that future customers will not experience this issue.. AND....he also told me that he is sending me a refund for over half of the purchase price to make up for my loss of use of the paddles for the first week while I waited for the odor to dissipate. That is very generous, and it is very impressive customer service. Changed to five star.

Survived 5 years of abuse.
I did not think much of this product. I bought this set for my young kids and baby nephews and nieces, because the items look really nice and the price is affordable. 5 years forward, my kids are getting good with their Ping Pong but the JP WinLook paddles they have are begging to retire. After years of use by my nephews and nieces for all purposes - as paddles, bike road block, horsey, baseball, frisbee, cup holder, broom - and having survived all of that, I figured, if I were to buy new paddles for my teenagers, JP WinLook has definitely proved its worth. So I am buying my second set after 5 years. I hope the quality is just as good, or better.

Tremendous product warranty, and customer support & satisfaction
I was disappointed that after just 2 months of use one of the paddles broke...during normal use. Is there any chance I could get a replacement? Update: After writing the above review I purchased another set of four, thinking this would give me spares in the event other paddles broke. I was pleasantly surprised when Ping Larse, the Founder and Owner of JP WinLook, emailed me saying that his company would reimburse me the cost of the second set. He also reminded me that every item (paddles, balls, and bag) in the set is covered by a one-year warranty. I originally gave this product a 2 star review. I've upgraded it to 5 stars because of the tremendous product warranty and customer support. Another update: I have been blown away by the customer support of this product. I received a full reimbursement for the second set of paddles I ordered (actually $.83 more than full). Additionally Ping Larse included a very nice hand written apologetic letter. I have received many compliments about these paddles and now I boast about their tremendous product support. btw - since mid-March I have played plenty of ping-pong by myself and have I've had no further problems with the paddles. Thank you, Ping, and all the employees of JP Winlook. Ten stars!!! Yet another update: Since being in isolation I've had hours to play ping-pong alone. I continue to be very impressed with the quality of both paddles and balls. Thank you again for such a great product.

Overall it is good but handles are way too short.
Overall it is good except the handles which are way too short. Good kit for young kids with little hands. Adults can't play with that.

Pads are ok, but..
Pads are ok and it plays ok, but the wooden parts + handles are poorly finished. You can see still the saw cut marks and some fine splinters or fuzz. Poor production quality.

Beginner set
I liked the way they were packaged. The set itself was very basic with big, light balls and slow rubber. The handles could use a sanding on the edges. The set wouldn't work for me but the people I bought it for are just beginning and were happy with it.
