Wellness CORE Pate Adult Canned Wet Cat Food, Natural, Protein Rich, Grain Free, Turkey and Duck Recipe, 3 oz, Pack of 12 Cans

A few years ago our vet told us our cats had to lose weight. I did a little research and found that Wellness CORE seems to be a pretty decent wet food. After realizing how many calories are in dry food, and how little dry food they should actually be eating, we started with wet food. (We were free-feeding dry food.) My cats both love this flavor of food. One of my cats is very picky, so that is a big deal. It is a little higher in calories than the indoor cat flavor, but not by too much. When they get this flavor as a treat, they are always extra excited and I'm not sure they actually taste it, they eat it so fast. It is definitely not the cheapest cat food out there, but I like to think that the ingredients are worth it. My cats have lost weight (wet vs dry makes a difference), but now I have to brush their teeth. Even though all vets seem to believe that dry food is just as bad for teeth, we never had an issue until they started eating wet food. That would be the only negative I can think of, which is remedied with brushing (which is indeed a pain) or adding a little dry food as a treat back into the diet.

My cats like it and eat the whole can straight away most of the time. If they don't then they come back later and finish it off. No vomiting issues like some other brands I've tried. The cans are well made even though the hole for the pull is a little small for normal finger sizes (gets stuck in there after pulling the lid off so I don't put my finger tip in there anymore). I've tried some even more pricey stuff where the pull would snap off or be so hard to pull that I would worry about it. Grain free is a big deal for cats that have some stomach issues like my older cat does.

Although this is adult food I'm pleased with this purchase. I bought this for my 5m old kitten after realizing Nulo (pates and shreads) despite being all life stages gave her the runs. This was been super helpful in getting her digestive health on track. Most importantly when eating this her bowels is normal. She seems be quite active with a good looking coat since being on this food. I can't speak for flavor but she does eat most of the can. It doesn't smell too bad by human standards however it is extremely attractive to my girl. I wish core was available for kittens as she needs the extra calories and nutrients. Even so this food will still be available for her when she is the appropriate age to consume daily. In the interim I am giving the kitten paté from Wellness. Overall for my furbaby this is a purchase well received.

My foster cat has IBD, and came to me on a prescription diet. After reading the ingredients on the prescription crap....I mean food, I realized why this cat was still suffering. This was one step closer to putting her on a clean pure meat diet. I'm not happy it contains guar gum, but compared to what the prescription food contained, this is pretty good. The cat likes it, and her health has improved greatly.

Cats seem to like taste. Will reserve as a treat since it is expensive. My biggest aggravation is how product is shipped. Amazon ships multiple cases in one box and invariably cans are dented when they arrive. This month I had to throw out some cans since contents had spoiled in the dented cans.

This is good high-quality cat food. It does NOT have carrageenan in the ingredients on the label, despite the description here. My only issue is that within the case was a can that had NO WEIGHT to it. It was sealed with no food inside. I messaged the seller about it to at least get a credit on this expensive food, but got NO response. Some cans arrive dented. Reading through other's reviews, I see this is not rare, but it can be dangerous.

Fast shipping and arrived in time. It is a case of 24 cans. My cat loves this cat food, always licks her bowl clean.
