We live in the southwest. It's gets in triple- digits too often in summer. We keep the can outside our bedroom window and we're going to move it if it smells, but with our windows open, it never stinks.That said, after 2 months, the carbon filter had to be changed bc it states to smell when you lift the lid. We changed the filter and now it's back to never smelling. Looks cute and makes it a cinch to keep our yard tidy.Very easy to use and operate with your foot. The inner can has a handle to lift in and out - we keep a garbage can liner in it and do not recommend using it without it unless you use doggie poop bags to pick up poop.Even in very windy conditions and heavy rain, the can hasn't moved, blown over, or filled out any water. Very sturdy. Excellent quality. Glad we didn't waste money on more expensive options.

I've had this outside in the WA rain for 9 months and it's holding up great, no issues. Easy to use the step to open the lid. Easy to swap out trash bags. I'm only throwing away the individual poop bags, not scooping poop directly into it. When the lid is closed there is no odor outside of the can (different story when I open the lid, but it is dog poop).

Perfect size. Easy to use. Sturdy.

No control of odor. Also. Foot pedal a little flimsy at times not opening. The bucket handle and waste bag design not functional. Either handle up with poop on it or handle down which means you have to manually pull down trash bag to release handle which would negate the whole point of handle.Biggest issue ~ maggot infestation during the summer. Just ewI feel bad about this negative review - but keeping consumer market honest.UPDATE: I was contacted recently about my disappointment with this product. Nevink offered several solutions to suit my dissatisfaction - refund, replacement, etc. I was equally impressed with their knowledge regarding their product - they offered guidance, tips, and gave thought to how it might work better and what problems I was having. More impressive is that the transaction was several months ago which tells me, they are dedicated to reading through any and all feedback and offering solutions - basically standing by their brand. Refreshing.

It’s metal. It is a nice looking unit. Keep in mind it only uses 4 gallons bags so if you are looking for something large this is not it, 4 gallons is a little larger than a standard desk trash can. Honestly do you really want to be carrying a bigger trash bag than that out to the dumpster?It has a foot lever to open the lid. That doesn’t work, if you open the lid by hand it will hold open the lid but will not open it on its own. Special note, it probably will if you don’t attach the carbon filter.Ok, so in theory the carbon filter is a good idea. In north Alabama it isn’t a very good idea. As the bucket gets warm the water in the poo (using my Joe Dirt voice) evaporates and in the nicely sealed bucket condenses in the filter. Sounds gross, well mostly it’s not, till you try to get the pail out holding the bag and the filter is dripping poo water on your hands. Everything is a nice precision fit, awesome, but now I have to jiggle things a little and, yep poo rain keeps falling on my hands…. Buy latex gloves 😂. Or when pulling the old bag use the new bag as a glove that goes up to your elbow.In all it really does help keep the flies down. I think it will last for a good long time as a waste receptacle.

As far as poop cans go, this is a great product. Contains smell and easy to operate, especially with the foot lever.

This is a GREAT concept if it actually didn’t cause more problems than the waste itself!!!It looks identical to the picture of the product on the website. It goes great with any decor. It’s small enough to not to “stand out” and be an “eye sore”, but big enough to hold a good amount of waste. The bags fit it perfectly. I was SO excited to have something I could empty out every few days to a week vs. having to use a single bag for each time the dog has to go out! It kept things nice and tidy! I was thrilled with it!Until today!First the scented bags, and filters, just don’t seem to eliminate the smell! Every time you open the lid, the odor is horrific! Then, the foot pedal is so small that you have to use the side of your foot to open the can. It doesn’t seem sturdy at all! Having said this, the BIGGEST PROBLEM of all??? I’ve only used the can about 4 days. I went to open the can this morning to put the waste in it, and it’s COVERED in maggots!!! It’s SO gross that I don’t even want to touch it to put it out by the trash on the curb! I’d rather use a bad for each time the dog goes out! It’s bad enough to deal with the waste as it is, but to deal with MAGGOTS, is even worse!!! Don’t waste your money!I definitely DO NOT recommend this product!!!

This can works really well to keep the smell from radiating from it and ruining the outdoor atmosphere. My a big peeve of mine is smelling the poop can when you're trying to enjoy the outdoors with family and friends. This can really does not disappoint!Been using since July (Oct now) and I have not needed to replace the filter yet (still blocking smells).Would recommend this can even for the price.
