This works fine. But it is just denatured alcohol fuel, which you can buy at any big-box home store for much less. I see that a recent reviewer perceived some difference in flame size or color but I notice none in my own Moda Flame fireplace. You may want to give the generic stuff a try to see which you prefer.

This is an extremely overpriced denatured alcohol alternative fuel. They sell clean burning fuel at your hardware store for about 16 bucks per gallon, which is 4 per quart. This more than double that price. I did notice that this burns with a red flame and denatured alcohol is pure blue (I prefer the blue) You can find additives and mixtires online if you want red flame. I did keep one of these bottles for easy refilling though, I keep it filled with the hardware store stuff.

I’m a sucker for a fire and have been using these for years! For the amount of money I spent on these I could have a real fireplace installed in my house! But, besides the cost, I love it!

It’s hard to find this in stores so I was happy to find this online. I have a very small ventless fireplace I use in my apartment balcony (12”). 1/2 a bottle only lasted 2 hours in this small fireplace.

Moda Flame fuel is a wonderful, nearly odorless ( very minor alcohol smell at first that quickly resolves ) source of flame. Although we have a 100+ year old house, it does not have a fireplace, something we have always regretted. This has given us the ability to create a small but very beautiful and functional fireplace on our coffee table.Although it was purchased solely for aesthetics, surprisingly, it puts off quite a bit of heat. The flame site directly under our ceiling fan and when it it reversed, the temperature in our family room raises 3-4 degrees.I am very pleased with both the fuel and the fireplace that burns it.

We purchased this fuel for our Origo 3000 2-burner stove-top. We put one full bottle in each canister. Burns very hot. Lasted a week so far with us cooking or boiling water 2-4x/day. Little alcohol smell when lighting and cooking. Leaves some black residue on the bottom of our pots and pans, but nothing a magic eraser can't take care of. And apparently, adding 5-10% water to the canister might solve that problem as well. We like the fuel, especially knowing it is one of the most environmentally friendly we can find, even in the denatured alcohol family.

Arrived quickly, BUT, they may want to take better care when packaging as most of the bottles were bent. And since this is a flammable product, this was not good. Luckily none leaked.

i have some tabletop fireplaces. Although Im not filling the cup all the way, it seems to only burn for an hour or less. But its a learning curve with something new. Very nice since I don't have a real fireplace...
