This is an awesome little product, it's made of plastic but it works fantastic. Just don't leave the buns on the top too long or they get soggy. The reason I'm returning this is because it leaked on the bottom. I had to put it on a towel. I didn't think I had too much water in it. I filled it according to the directions. Nevertheless, I would recommend this product. It is an awesome little hot dog, warmer and a great seller. It came very quickly. I highly recommend

I bought this on a whim for my two young daughters to "help make dinner". It is an extremely easy set up. Filtered water goes into the bottom most tray just below the MAX line, then hot dogs or polish sausages in the next tray, followed by your choice of bun in the final tray. You simply plug in and set the turn knob to "High". Fifteen minutes later you have a meal any stadium would be proud to serve. It's simple and easy to clean up. So far we have tried various hot dog brands as well as the larger Polish sausages. I'd have to say the Polish sausages with a sweet (Hawaiian bread or simply Sweet) hot dog bun our the favorite. You don't even need mustard or any other condiment to accompany these dogs. They are perfect from tray to bun to mouth as is. I am VERY impressed at the simplicity and taste. This is a wonderful family appliance and makes dinners cheap and readily available. I'd go so far as to say a MUST for every family home.

Been looking for a reasonably priced hot dog steamer and this one completely fits the bill. You get that quality hot dog cart vendor taste from this steamer right in your own kitchen anytime you’re in the mood for one! This was simple to setup and get started. On my trial run I put the water in the base and turned the steamer on high for about 15 minutes before placing just 2 bun length all beef hotdogs in the tray. (There is plenty of room for many more dogs) It only took about 5 minutes for the dogs to cook then I put 2 buns in the top compartment for only about 30 seconds to 1 minute and they came out perfectly soft and steamy without being soggy or wet. With that being said, be mindful of a lot of condensation that collects on the underside of the lid when removing it because the water can drip on your buns if you’re not careful. The only water that was present on the countertop when finished was condensation from opening and closing the hotdog compartment tray. Likewise, it was a breeze to take apart and clean when finished. The owners manual recommends to only wash this by hand and not in the dishwasher. The base of the steamer where the hot plate is housed must be wiped clean and never submerged in water while cleaning. The steamer and the handles are made entirely of plastic (even though the handles appear to be chrome, they are plastic) which feels a little cheap and flimsy however I’m sure that if it’s not abused it should hold up. There is a slight plastic/new appliance smell to it right out of the box but after I washed it in warm soapy water and used it the first time the smell seemed to dissipate. It did not have any adverse effect on the taste of the food. I placed a ruler in the photos to show approximate dimensions of the steamer. Very happy with this purchase and hope it lasts for many years.
