Top-notch pour over coffee dripper. Love, love, love it. Brews a delicious cup, does it quickly, super easy to keep clean. Recommend going with the intended unbleached paper lines; you'll need the correct shape - and you can compost them along with the grinds. We've used a variety over past years - other ceramic, stainless steel grippers; the Chemex options (also really good cups brewed!) but this is so efficient, and my new go-to! Highly recommend!

Terrific coffee dripper. I got this to supplement my one cup coffee maker for when I have guests. I now use it daily. You can easily make one or two cups of delicious coffee with this easy to use dripper. It has a substantial weight and fits nicely over all my cups. The construction is top quality and it is easy to clean either by hand or in the dishwasher. Highly recommend!

I have 5 of these Kalita coffee makers. I keep two at my apartment and two at my condo. I also keep one at the office. We actually have two coffee makers at work but why settle for less than the best? Some people like having plastic in their coffee with those plastic cups - not me. We have an industrial coffee maker that makes... well, industrial coffee. People at the office freak out when they see me making my cup. This is the best coffee maker money can buy. I tried just about every coffee maker and the Kalita delivers an excellent tasting cup of coffee every time. It is extremely durable and worth the price. The quality is outstanding.

Let me begin with, “Be still my beating heart.” My 185-S Kalita pour-over basket style replaced the awful ceramic cone I bought. -Kalita is made in Japan, vs China for the ceramic cone -The design is beautifully retro -The material is highly polished stainless steel -The Bakelite cover keeps the handle cool -It fits every cup, mug and travel cup that we own -The workmanship is superior to what I’ve seen on some so-called high end cookware Amazon refunded my purchase cost for the ceramic cone, because they’d sent the wrong size “starter pack”. I’ve since donated it to Habitat, so the relatively high cost for the 185-S was mitigated. However, now that I see how the Kalita coffee basket is so beautifully made, I can say that I’d buy it again. But as I’m 68, I think it may outlive me. BTW, if you have the large, basket-style filters, they can be trimmed and ‘messaged’ to fit into the 185-S. Then wet it, press it into place, dump the excess water, then brew your favorite Joe. (I bought a 1000-pack of basket filters thinking I could use them to filter my homemade bone broth. Yeah, no.)

4 stars because it is tiny. good for espresso pour over if that's a thing. I do an 6 to 8 oz. cup of coffee. This takes a bit to do that. It is a keeper as far as quality. I think the next size might be too large. Update: Quality is great but I am going to send it back. It's too small. Maybe I'm not coordinated enough to use this. I keep getting grounds all over the counter when I pour from my grinding cup into the pour over:-((

This is exactly what I needed! A perfect dripper! It's small sized enough to easily pack for traveling and it is a quality product. What's more- the all metal construction means you will not introduce microplastics into your coffee and also not adulterate your coffee with the typical "coffee maker plastic smell". It cleans super easily and cannot be any more simpler to use. Highly recommended!

Very good quality and easy to use. I’ve never used a pour over before and this is simple and easy to use and makes really good coffee. This is the updated model that has a raised bead on the bottom to help the coffee drain and not clog. Seems to be a great update because I’ve never had it clog. The branded filters are expensive but Amazon sells some that are made for this pour over and are half the price. They also work great!

I got tired of my expensive ceramic drippers cracking, so I tried this one. It makes great coffee and seems like it will last a long time. The Kalita 185 filters are too short though. I use taller Mellita ones.

I like Kalita because I think it’s more sweet than V60.
