Hi, Good question. The answer is YES, You can open Disney+ or any app on screen 1, then connect screen 2 via HDMI cable. (The manual has detailed operation steps)

It use an IPS G+G hard screen that prevents scratches from sharp objects such as keys toys, and generally does not require an additional screen protector.Please use with confidence.
