For $35, it's Really Good - Nether Octaver
I got the Nether Octaver.First thing a lot of people fail to understand is the Nether is an analog Octave, not a polyphonic one, so it's not going to track super accurately like something like the Sub and Up does. They are completely different sounds. The Nether is analog and has a warm, dark, synth like sound which is less accurate whereas Poly octavers are digital and more mechanical sounding and less warm but track far more accurately. For the Nether, it is mostly only to be used with single note stuff. Not chords. Lots of people undeservedly discount the Nether for "poor tracking" when really they misunderstood what they bought - analog pedals aren't going to be able to track super well ever.Even still, compared to my poly octave I thought the Nether would track a little better. I bought this hoping to use it with Octave 1 only to work as a defacto bass for my regular guitar. Even with single note stuff it glitches sometimes so unfortunately I can't really use it for that. Where this REALLY excels though is when combined with distortion/fuzz. It creates a very heavy sound and the distortion covers up the glitches. It's such an awesome sound. The pedal construction is fantastic. Solid metal. Not the biggest fan of the Stranger Things inspired name and font and dark letters - you have you dark text on a dark red background so it's not the easiest to read. But whatever, that's a very minor gripe. If you want a analog octave you can't really beat the price unless you are ok with a plastic pedal in which case you can go for the Behringer UO300 which is around $10 cheaper. But I paid the extra $10 for the Nether due to the metal housing.

Does a really convincing guitar-to-bass effect.
Does a really convincing guitar-to-bass effect. Tight response and tracking. Much better than others I've tried, including the OC5 and Pico Pog.

Good but ...
I have 3 basses, a p bass, a jazz bass and an ibanez with a humbucker and a single coil, for some reason, this pedal works great only with the p bass, I wonder if the full size pedal will be different, I suggest to try it first at a local store with your bass before purchase it

One of the best Octavers
One of the best octaves that can do 3 down and 1 up at the same time . I paired it with my fuzz( after fuzz ) to get that octafuzz effect and it works . Thanks Sweetwater for fast delivery and small bag of candies included with pedal 👍🥰

Solid standalone octave pedal
I send dry and wet signals to seperate amps, so standalone effects allow more autonomy for my desired setup. The sub n' up mini is exactly that - a simple, but responsive octave pedal that tracks very well. No bells, whistles or additional effects.I give 5 stars because it meets my expectations and does what I need it to do. I do want to mention that the octave up and down signals are just a tad quieter than the dry channel, so a pronounced octave sans dry channel can be a little too quite in the mix, depending on your desired sound. Otherwise, it's an excellent pedal.

Did not scratch the itch
I spent an hour with this effect trying to dial in something resembling a twelve string guitar sound. I tried with a Les Paul and a strat. The longer I experimented the more I appreciated the clear signal. I am and always will be a fan of TC Electronics but I don’t believe this or possibly any other pedal will ever be able to scratch my twelve string itch. Also the sub 2 seems pretty much an unusable feature

Missing power
Just got this today and find it shameful that there is no power supply and no battery. Nothing in the piddly manual that says how to put a battery in or nothing in it to suggest getting a power supply... Sorry but I find this very unprofessional in every way... so niw I have to buy a power supply and wait several more days to see if or how this thing works. Grrrrr.
