Perfect - if you know what you're doing
I have worn glasses/contacts for 45 years. I currently wear contacts and getting close vision is a compromise at best. My optometrist set me up with monovision - one eye corrected for distance, the other for near vision. I am not willing to wear readers, especially with a mask (I work in health care). My last prescription change has left me a little wanting for distance which I really notice while driving. 0.5 is perfect to make me happy while I drive. Lenses are huge, but I'm ok with that. If you don't know what you need for correction, don't do it. Can't speak to how higher powers are, but expect distortion as the lenses are unlikely to be high-quality. For low-power, they're great.
