Shark Stratos Vacuum, DuoClean PowerFins HairPro, Lift-Away, Navy, AZ3002

After several years of using a Shark vacuum, it was a dark day when it died on me. I did everything to fix what I thought was a blockage, but when it shut off by itself and when I would try to get it to vacuum, all it did was a sad dull moan. I wanted another one to replace it, but sadly it no longer was made, per the Shark Website. But I found this one that was just about the same. The suction is fantastic. and since it is a more modern version, it has some new features such as a self-cleaning roller brush and a setting for low pile carpet. It also has a "soft roller" infront of the actual roller brush that I guess picks up the dirt in a low pile carpet. It costs about the same as the other one. It also can do hard floors as well so it can be used on LVP or tile as well. I dreaded getting rid of my old one, but this one fit perfectly as a good replacement

With ten years of cleaning professionally, the only vacuum cleaner I’ll use is the Shark. Over the years I’ve owned five of them and in my opinion they are the best on the market. I like them so much that I usually buy one every couple of years and give the one I use for work away to a family that needs a vacuum. The reason I buy a new one every few years is because I look forward to the newer models . Mine are used 7 days a week and the houses I’m in are 10,000 square feet. They are in constant use and the first one I gave away is ten years old and running like a top according to the family that is still using it. The number one complaint from reviews I’ve seen is the weight. Yes, it’s heavy, weighing 17 pounds. It’s self propelled and will run away if you don’t learn how to use it correctly. An elderly person who has problems with walking or lacking strength should not use this particular model. I’m elderly, 69, but I’m physically fit and lift it in my SUV twice daily 7 days a week. I vacuum staircases and every part of these houses. The suction is powerful . I’ve used the most expensive vacuums and they don’t come close to the Shark vacuums. This particular model is the quietest vacuum I’ve ever used. The most important thing I can say is to clean your vacuum regularly. The Shark is easy to take apart for cleaning. I break mine down once a week to clean every part of it, including the roller, wheels and electrical cord. Vacuum cleaners work hard and get nasty if they aren’t cleaned properly and regularly. So, if you’re looking for something that will last and work like new every day, year after year, then Shark is the best choice and the most reliable vacuum made. This is a top-notch vacuum. We have two cats and some fuzzy carpet.. we had a five or six-year-old shark vacuum, and I wanted to up our dust collection to the next level. This definitely does the job.! powerful suction, adjustable for three levels on Floors, don’t worry about the weight, it was only a couple of pounds heavier than my previous shark, and it also has a self propel feature . (I’m not quite sure how that works yet. I think you have to lean the handle back a little bit more.) Not only doesn’t pick the dirt up really well. The filtration system is 300% better than previous shark vacuums. . There are two or three levels of foam filters in here.! Again, don’t worry about the weight. You don’t want a good vacuum cleaner to be light because it simply isn’t possible to have a powerful motor and make the vacuum light. A strong motor is gonna have some weight to it and that’s when you know you’ve got some quality in your hands. Excellent purchase for the money was questioning myself even though our other vacuum worked good but it turns out our other 5 yr old vacuum was a 6.5 on a scale of one to 10 and this is a 10 on a scale of 10 to 10!!! BUY IT!!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other buyers should know about my experience. I purchased this Shark vacuum because I believed I was investing in a durable, high-quality machine from a trusted brand. I vacuum almost every day because I have a busy household with several people, so I specifically chose a large, powerful vacuum that I expected would easily last for years. Unfortunately, after less than two months of normal daily use, the wheels started bending. As they became more and more warped, the vacuum became extremely difficult to push. Today, the suction still works perfectly, but the vacuum is practically unusable because the wheel assembly has failed. To me, this appears to be a design flaw. The vacuum itself is large, heavy, and well-built, but the small plastic wheels simply aren't strong enough to support its weight during regular use. A premium vacuum should not become unusable because of weak wheels after only a couple of months. I contacted customer service through Amazon and asked for a replacement of only the lower wheel assembly, since the rest of the vacuum is still in excellent condition. I was told the issue would be resolved and that I should expect to wait one to two months for the replacement. That was five months ago. Since then, I've received nothing. During this time, I had to go back to using my old vacuum, which had already served me faithfully for over five years. Unfortunately, after carrying the workload again, that vacuum has now stopped working as well. The most frustrating part is that this problem could have been solved by replacing one defective part. Instead, I've been left with an expensive vacuum that sits unused because of what seems to be a preventable engineering issue. I truly expected much better from Shark. If this model had stronger wheels, I would probably love it because the cleaning performance is excellent. However, durability and customer support matter just as much as suction power. I hope Shark improves this design and stands behind its products by providing replacement parts in a timely manner. Until then, I cannot recommend this model to anyone who plans to use it regularly.

Shark Stratos AZ3002. Pros: Great cleaning. Picks up dirt from previously vacuumed carpets. If you plan to use this only as an "upright" without the lift-away feature it is a fine vacuum. Buy it. Cons: Maneuverability isn't bad, but is nowhere near my old Shark UV810 that it replaced. There are only vestiges of the "lift-away" feature that helped make Shark successful with vacuums. The powerhead is wider and heavier, as is the lift-away portion. The wider powerhead may look like an advantage but it is not. I was disappointed my old UV810 had such a small head until I used it and found how easily it maneuvered under and around things. It could also be "steered" easily by turning the wrist. It could even be used easily on stairs with the lift-away feature and with the power button on the removable portion. The on-off power switch has been moved from the lift-away portion where it fell right under the thumb while carrying it, to the handle. Fine for use as an upright, but now need a third hand to operate it as a lift-away or when using tools. The dust container on my Shark UV810 emptied cleanly and easily. It convinced me "bagless" vacuums can be OK. As others have said, the dust container on the AZ3002 is a disaster. Popping it open with the new lever approach sends dust everywhere. Closing it up again sends dust everywhere. I am exploring solutions but it may require taking it outside to empty into the trash. The cord on the AZ3002 is shorter than our old UV810. This is more annoying than you might expect. Features other than pros and cons: The brush roll does seem to be self-cleaning as advertised. It is no longer "brushes," but fins. The old brush was easy and economical to replace. The main roller on the AZ3002 is no longer replaceable. We'll see if it holds up. The brightness of the lights on the AZ3002 disappoint compared to our old UV810, but are fine. They still don't work with the wand and tools. Several reviewers found the cord stiff. I wouldn't have noticed. Yes, as others have noted, tools will not stay on the storage pegs. Plan to carry them around with you. In summary, the AZ3002 excels at cleaning rugs and floors. I miss the convenient lift-away features on our old UV810. I always used it with the lift-away separated, which is now impractical.

I love this vacuum. I replaced an 8 year old bissell vacuum with this. I have multiple furry pets, and this vacuum does excellent on both rugs and hard floor. The suction is extremely powerful, even the handheld tube. Turns smoothly. The only slight criticisms I have would be that it is a bit heavy for me to maneuver, and I wish the cord was slightly longer, but otherwise I am extremely pleased!

After years of trying to clean the dog hair out of two different Dyson Animal vacuums, I purchased the Shark Stratos in hopes of finding something better. I was not disappointed. The suction on this unit is strong enough to lift dirt and dog hair out of the carpet with only one pass of the powered head, and the self-cleaning roller actually works as advertised. The soft roller is easy to remove and clean. Since it is brushless, it does not trap the hair that would wrap around and clog a traditional brush roller. I was able to remove the few hairs that did get trapped very quickly (as opposed to the hours spent cutting the hair out of the Dyson). If you have a big dog that sheds, buy this vacuum.

I just unboxed and set up my new Shark Stratos. I used it once and it seems great. I will say it's heavy and sturdy to use. I wish the handle was a bit shorter. I love that everything comes apart for easy cleaning. It's made very nice and and durable. The directions are also great and easy to understand. I think the price point was reasonable. I needed this specific vaccum with three options for thick carpet to LVT.
