Well worth the money. Glad I have one
It is heavy, however it works great. Have had SEAL A meal and the Vevor keeps air out of package. Only drawback I found was they don’t tell you what kind of pump oil to use. It comes with some .

Best affordable chamber vacuum sealer
First as others have noted, there were two loose screws inside, and I had to secure the pump. I only noticed them because the pump has to be opened to fill the oil reservoir before using. I was disappointed at first that this model doesn't have a "marinate" setting, but then I realized that it can be done manually. I just set the "seal" time to zero and put my chops in a shallow container and set vacuum to 45 seconds. It worked perfectly. Otherwise, it is worth every penny. The next cheaper sealer only has a 2.25 inch chamber which is a deal breaker for me. Yes, it's heavy and has a retro industrial look, which is a plus for me. It screams "function" over style. No fru-fru fancy "looks great on the kitchen counter". It says that it looks like it's an industrial machine, not something that looks good next to your toaster. Real gauges, switches and display. I already have a standard food-saver type sealer which I will use to seal bags from a roll, so that's not an issue. Glad it's still good for something.

Fantastic and it's saved me $$$
I purchased this unit as the regular vacuum sealers never really work and my grandson who processes his own deer meat recommended it. I knew I would use it if I left it where I could use it and not put in the pantry and that has proven to be true. I package everything in single servings as I am a one person house, however my grandson and spouse live on my property and are here often. That gives us the ease of taking something out for dinner with a quick de-thaw. I am use it for prepping and find that spices, beans, rice, etc get sucked in so hard they are hard as a rock. The machine was a great buy. It is heavy so I also purchased a small table it sits on with a shelf under that holds the chamber bags. I am able to buy in bulk, package it in smaller sizes, and that has saves me enough $$ to pay for the machine. I did buy the extra 4 year warranty on it, but in the months I have owned it I have not had a single problem. This is something I am considering as gifts for others, I like it that much!

You will never use a FoodSaver again!
I have had this sealer for almost a year now. It works as advertised. Very easy to operate and does a great job sealing packages. Way better than any FoodSaver I have ever had. It is operating just like the day I bought it. No complaints at all.

Works Well
I've owned and used a "FoodSaver" vacuum sealer for many years now and while it has performed well for me I wanted to get a chamber vacuum sealer so that I would be able to seal liquids as well as seal food items that have a higher moisture content. With the "FoodSaver" vacuum I would always insure that I thoroughly wiped off any moisture from food that I had rinsed and cleaned prior to sealing, however from time to time I would still get remnants of liquids being sucked up towards the sealing point of the bag as the air was sucked out of the bag, and of course sealing soup or any other liquid was simply not possible with the FoodSaver Unit so I started looking at the chamber vacuum sealers that were available. I didn't want to spend an exorbitant amount of money but yet wanted to get a unit that would perform well and was reasonably priced. I came across the VEVOR Model DZ-260A, the reviews on Amazon as well as YouTube reviews seemed to indicate it was a solid machine and Amazon had it marked down to $275. I also had some Amazon Points on my credit card so I decided to order this unit. It came very nicely packaged. Double boxed with heavy cardboard and the unit itself was totally encased in a very thick form fitting Styrofoam shell that gave excellent protection to the unit. Unboxing revealed no damage and all advertised accessories were included with the unit. As I unscrewed the single screw at the back of the unit that allows you to pivot the top of the unit open so you can access the internal components and fill the oil reservoir with oil I heard something metal rolling around inside. As I opened the top of the unit I saw a screw rolling around loose inside the compartment. The screw was supposed to be screwed into one side of the metal strap that secures the vacuum pump to the base of the unit but it had either worked itself loose or it simply hadn't been installed in the first place. I re-installed the screw then proceeded to check all the other screws inside the compartment. Sure enough I found 2 other screws that were holding down hardware that were slightly loosed and needed to be snugged down tight. No big deal really, but be sure to check all the screws inside if you purchase this unit. I filled the oil reservoir with oil and proceeded to test out the unit on some fish I had caught the night before. I set the vacuum time to 30 seconds, the sealing time to 1.5 seconds and the cooling time to 3 seconds as the manual recommended. Using the bags supplied with the unit I sealed several packages of fish and each time the unit performed perfectly, giving a beautifully tight vacuum seal around the fish and a nice thick sealing band across the top of the bag. It definitely sealed the fish much more tightly and efficiently than my Food Saver Unit does. I wish I had more food to seal right now but I don't and that is the only reason I gave the unit 4 overall stars instead of 5.... simply because I haven't used it on a large volume of food yet. After I seal more food with the unit and get to spend more time using it I will update my review with details on how the unit functions over the long term. I should also add that while the unit is a bit heavy, at least for me, I'm still able to move it around as needed for use and storage and the two indented handles on either side make holding it securely much easier. I also like the smaller overall size of the unit which aides in storing it while it's not in use. Besides the 1 screw that I had to re-install and the 2 other screws that I had to snug up the unit appears to be very nicely constructed with a quality overall build. I'm very happy with the unit and glad that I purchased it. All in all I think I got a great deal. I would say if you're on the fence about this machine go ahead and order it, especially at the sale price that Amazon is offering right now. It is now almost 6 months since I purchased this unit and I've used it to seal many food items during that time. I'm happy to report that the unit has performed flawlessly and I continue to be impressed with it's features and efficiency. I love soup and make quite a bit of it. The ability to seal soup in this machine is amazing and it's a feature I use all the time. Sealing liquids is simply not an option with my "food saver" machine but this Vevor unit seals up bags of soup or other liquids, like home made beef or vegetable stock, with just the push of a button. I've used the machine to seal beef, venison, fish (both fillets and whole fish) , dinner leftovers, and many other items. This unit has performed flawlessly for me so I wanted to post an updated review after being able to "put it through its paces". I more than satisfied with this unit and would not hesitate to purchase another one if I needed or wanted another one or the larger version. I hope this review is of use to anyone on the fence about this unit.

False advertising. Cannot do liquids. Tiny capacity. On your own for spare parts.
Read the Q/A on their website before buying this. The TLDR boils down to "consumables nor spare parts are sold by Vevor. Find the non-specific parts locally". This includes parts like the oil filter, which is something that is specialized and specific to this device. Once you are out of warranty you are completely SOL. When using the included bags, the seal is ok. Better than a cheap Food Saver? Not at all. Factor in the price of the unit itself and it's so much worse for what you're paying. 3rd party vacuum bags do not work well, especially the ones that are textured on one side, which are most of the bags available on Amazon. There is no seal only mode present so to create a custom bag, you'd need to find a way to seal one end first. Seems to be a glaring omission; I had to use my old food saver to cut and seal the end on bags just to use them. Insult to injury? The picture of the Vevor site shows that this can seal a bag of liquids. In the Q/A section of the product's page? Nope..can't do liquids.
