My current pipe is 3.5 inches. Will this tighten that much?

It will not tighten down that far. It only has about an 1/8 notch in the tip to allow it to tighten. It is made specifically for 4 inch exhaust.

I still have the stock exhaust tips on my 2010 dodge ram 1500, will this fit on my truck?

The 4 inch inlet is for diesel trucks with aftermarket 4 inch exhaust. You will most likely need a 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 inch inlet. Measure the o.d. to make sure and buy tips with that measurement as the i.d. in the description.
