There are three points I would like to mention which compel me to give a straight five for this book.1. Absolutely thorough research. It can be seen that the author has spoken to all the police officers involved in solving this crime. He has also gone through all the police records which tell us how the police planned every move of theirs in order to trap the criminals.2. The author has dealt with the robbery from both sides of the coin. On one hand he describes the police's moves and how they plan and act. On the other hand he gives us a look into how the antagonists planned the robbery from the planning stage to the execution and then the aftermath.3. Instead of treating the crime and its detection like an intellectual exercise on the basis of police records, transcripts and court records, he has described it to the reader like a story. And he has done that very accurately. This style makes the book eminently readable and entertaining.

Brilliant book. Anirban has nicely narrated the heist that keeps you on the edge of the seat just like a crime thriller. Felt like I read a drishayam lite version. The book is unputdownable and makes you read the book in one go. Well put, Thoroughly Researched and Pinpointly narrated. Kudos to Operation Chelembra team for their investigative brilliance. More power to Kerala Police. Hoping to see the book as a movie soon.

This is a fabulous, detailed, true account of India's biggest bank heists, the Chelembra bank robbery.First of all, I'd like to congratulate the author on a splendid job with the book. Anirban really is a master at true crime. Immaculate research and highly engaging narration make this book a must-read. The setting, the characters, the events, it was all so thoroughly researched and perfectly presented that it felt as though everything was unfolding right in front of me. I just couldn't put this one down. A true page turner. Highly recommended! Pick up your copy now.

What a maverick Anirban Bhattacharya is! India's Money Heist is a wonderful recollection of the events as they unfolded and how the reader gets engaged with each event as if watching it in front of their eyes. What I love about the author's style of writing is that even a non-fictional account is presented in such a manner that it makes you feel excited with every detail that is uncovered. It is well-researched with even the minutest of references kept in check, which makes for an exhilarating page turner as if one is reading a fiction thriller.After The Deadly Dozen, Anirban maintains his tempo with this non-fiction as well. In certain ways, this is even a step up. I would suggest everyone to read it so as to understand what goes behind a chase by the forces to nab a perpetrator- their challenges, their anguish, their mini victories, before the final show of triumph. I am looking forward to more from the author.

The book is a feast for true crime and thrill lovers. An atypical Police vs Criminal Mastermind story, the author puts the reader in the driving seat. We feel the thrill, the let downs and the frustrations of the police as they try to catch the mastermind behind the bank heist. The characters of P. Vijayan, the SP and Babu, the mastermind is very well etched. You'll not forget them easily. The author keeps us constantly engaged with nuggets of interesting research and historical tidbits that pop up throughout the book. Very visual and with well written dialogues, this book is to be savoured.
