Stop searching!!!
After looking for over a month, this is one of the very best deals I found when it comes to how much (and the quality of) product you get for the cost. Overall, it's an awesome kit! The polygel is very easy to work with, and will level out just enough to smooth out brush strokes and minor unevenness. > Dual Forms: If you've been doing polygel for awhile, you probably know how difficult it can be to find good dual forms. These are the ones everyone raves about in their YouTube videos, so.... yassss! :) > Base & Top Coats: The base and top coats are excellent, just slightly smaller than a typical full size polish, but I wouldn't call them minis. > Brush: The brush that's included is decent. It comes with a cap/lid that doubles as the brush handle, but doesn't include spatula. It's fine for getting started, but you'll probably want to purchase another if you need a spatula or like it included as part of your brush. > Slip Solution: The slip solution works fine. It is very small though! It will get you through your first full set, maybe 2. I personally prefer alcohol over the solution with these particular polys. I've used up to 90% alcohol on these gels with zero issue. > Polygels: - very easy to work with - great for all experience levels, especially beginners because it has some self-leveling - the Clear is one of the clearest that I've ever used - Light Apricot is a translucent neutral that would work well with any skin tone All in all, I very highly recommend this set, especially if you're a beginner and have been trying to decide among all the options available on Amazon. It would be really hard to beat this value for price! *** PHOTOS: I used the same brand polygels in Soft Pink, White, & Clear for this set. This was my 5th time using polygels, and only the 2nd full set I had done without dual forms. I'm pointing that out to let you know that even if you aren't perfect, this gel is easy to work with and can still turn out nice! > The 1 hand photos were done with my non-dominant hand!

Learning curve but a beginner diy’er can get great results
First thing I want to say is: this kit is 100% for beginners. However, it’s for beginners you are DIY inclined, and can problem solve easily. There is a learning curve for sure just look at my photos I did my first I did my thumb because it actually had a tear and that’s what I bought it for was to repair a pretty bad tear but then I thought I’m gonna have a little fun and I do extensions. So what I know about doing press, sans or gel strips is that you typically do your thumbs last, and you start your application on your dominant hand. That will just make sure that it’s easier to do your other hand with nails on. As far as any advice, I have is, I would get a drill even though I really improved my other hand there’s not like just tons of product in it. I still would like it a lot cleaner, and to get closer to my cuticle without scraping my skin off, but it’s not 100% necessary. I did get a drill just came today, so I’m gonna go ahead and fix these horrendous ones on the right side and just clean up. You know the little mistakes on the other side, the other hand. The consistency is very sticky and it is hard to work with at first. It’s hard to know how much slip to use. I kept either being too dry or too wet but at the end I found a happy medium somehow I don’t even know it’s it’s hard to gauge. If you have the bonding and dehydrator, but especially the bonding, I would not use the basecoat. The gel has a really hard time sticking when you add the basecoat on top of those two other products. To summarize, I do recommend this product to beginners and professionals. Alike I also recommend getting a drill and so far I think it’s a great product.

Very pleased.
Just got it today and did one hand. So far I love it. If these hold up with my wear and tear, I will be sticking with this product. Very little heat spikes but there was some. I LOVE 006 (light apricot). I’m by no means a nail tech, I just do my own nails for fun. I use the forms so you might have a whole different take on the gel if you don’t. I found it easy to work with but sticky and that did make it a little difficult cleaning up the edges of the forms. The forms that come in this kit are easier than others I’ve tried and I like them better for longer nails. They give you more of a curved arch to create the thickness you need so the nail won’t break. The brush worked just fine for the forms but probably not for those trying to sculpt their nails. The slip solution worked just fine, if you don’t like it you can always use rubbing alcohol. I have my own files/e-file so I didn’t use the one in the box. The base and top coat are nice and thick and work well. I have nail prep stuff from other brands I’ve tried in the past. All that to say NONE of it matters if you don’t prep your nails. If you are a beginner (I learned this the hard way lol) nail prep is everything! watch some YouTube tutorials. It’s not as simple as slapping the product on your nails, curing it, and you’ve got Solon style nails that will last you a month. Do yourself a favor, save yourself the hassle, and money, watch some tutorials and prep your nails ladies 💋

Some good, some bad, polygel kit
Giving 3 stars because there were some things I loved and things I did not love. I previously owned an LED lamp so note that one is needed but not included for this. Love that it cures quickly and stayed on until I wanted to do them again. Came off easily. I would say this is like a cross between acrylic and regular gel polish. The peach color is very nice nude. Now for the not so good. 1. The clear does not get hard like the peach color. I have no clue why. More time to cure and a thicker application did not help. Won’t be able to use it. 2. The dual forms are very arched. As someone who has very average nails, they were hard to size appropriately. In order to get it to lay flat on my nail bed, I had to do larger sizes than what would have fit my nail well which meant more filing. 3. The slip solution is garbage. It makes the polygel runny and hard to shape. Just use rubbing alcohol. Other brands may be fine, this one is not. The first time I did it they were not great. Very thick underneath and uneven. My second application went better however I used rubbing alcohol to spread and I ended up purchasing a small drill which made it go way better and the overall look is more professional looking. Overall 3 stars. It’s an affordable kit to try out but will likely try other brands in the future to see if there’s a better result.

I was tired of my natural nails...
UPDATE - So after a week I was left with one nail. I did do both hands. The tips broke off but the gel is still on the nail bed without lifting. This was user error, not product error. The stress point at the nail bed & free edge was too weak. I have since learned it is better to apply several thin applications instead of one. I'm still going to use the forms & cure the gel between applications. This method should also help with the undernail & lessen the need for excessive filling. I've also found it is easy to remove the gel without damaging your nails. Drill down to a thin layer & hand sand the rest of the product off! Easy peasy! Did I mention I still love this product? Now back to our regularly scheduled review... ~~~~~~~~~ORIGINAL REVIEW~~~~~~~~~ And peeling polish! I know how to apply acrylics but I don't like how they damage my nails. I've had dip nails but didn't feel like doing the work. I don't feel safe going to the nail shop either. With all these negatives I started looking for an easy alternative. After researching, it seemed polygel was a good alternative. So far I've applied 2 nails. I love this product! Again, I do know how to do acrylic nails so I understand the mechanics of using the nail forms. Werth this product you can take your time & craft the perfect nail. Any flaws can be easily corrected after curing. There is no smell which is good in these pandemic days. If applied correctly you shouldn't have to do a lot of filing. This gel will be good for sculpting nails as well. It is is perfect for beginners & would make a cool Christmas present. I did not use primer as I didn't want to buy a lot of extra items at first. I only purchased this kit and an LED nail dryer. If I get decent wear out of these nails I will definitely purchase more items. Did I say I love this product so far?

Great kit!!!
I really loved this!!! I wasn’t sure if I should try a cheaper version of the gelish kit I saw, but this is so perfect as an introductory kit!! Also, this comes with the dual forms and I’m not sure any of the gelish kits do. The forms make it so easy and I was able to extend my nails. They were so so short after they broke, and they look like they were professionally done!! The photo shows the “apricot” color and I wa surprised by how natural it was, as I was expecting it to be more orangey. It takes a little bit of practice and patience, but it definitely pays off. I never want to waste money at the salon for nail extensions of any sort again. I’m not sure how I’ll do “fill-ins” once they start to grow in, but I wouldn’t mind if I’d have to do them from scratch every 2-3 weeks. This gel seems very durable, it’s been a few days and I work with my hands so my nails are constantly breaking, but I have so much confidence in this. They feel sturdy and although removing them may end up being a hassle, I think it’s well worth it.

This a solid mini kit and good value for the price.
When my box arrived I opened to find a seal on one of the bottles was defective. Polygel had spilled out and gotten on both bottles and the brush. I contacted Amazon and had the option to return the whole thing, but after deliberation I decided to just keep it. It was about an eighth of one bottle and I had been wanting to start playing with polygel immediately and did not want to wait another week or so to return and get a replacement. The leaked polygel was clean so I scooped it out and saved what I could. It was a pain cleaning everything, but I'd rather do that then wait the time necessary to replace it. This was purely a manufacturing error though and does not seem to be a common issue looking at reviews. Besides that, the presentation was nice. Box was nice quality. The base and top coat bottles were classy looking. Everything was packaged well. Polygel does have a learning curve for newbies, but that is nothing specific to a brand. When you first try it does require practice to get the hang of things and get professional looking results. It doesn't take long though to produce acceptable looking cute nails and in my opinion is much easier to work with than acyrlics. I have since used another popular amazon polygel so I can compare to that the product quality. Both are durable and last just as long, but modelones is far easier to work with. It's not as stiff and sticky and spreads much easier. It's not too soft either and doesn't move much if at all after you get the shape you want. It cures in 60 seconds in my 36w lamp. I also have a 6w mini lamp and it cures with that too. These are sheer/clear colors and those tend to cure better than pigmented gels. They do have the sticky layer after curing that you need to wipe off with alcohol. I noticed a lot of people dont know that and think their polygel isn't cured. And if your gel truly is not curing then it's likely that your lamp is not good, and not the polygel since this stuff cures just fine for everyone else. The clear is not cloudy and encapsulated glitters very well. The peachy color is perfect for nail beds. They are 30ml tubes so you get a lot of product. The base coat adheres to the nail very well and keeps the polygel adhered to it. Ive used it with another brand of polygel and it worked well with that too. The top coat is thick but not too thick and extremely glossy. I even use the top coat to adhere small 4mm crystals and they do not budge. The top and base are very nice quality. The slip solution works fine with the modelones gel. This polygel doesn't require a lot of it to mold the product unlike the other polygel I've tried. I did not use the dual forms. I prefer tips so I cant speak on those, but they are included if you want to use them. The file is small but very sturdy and the sandpaper on it is nice and gritty. The brush is cheaper and does not have a picker on it because it's a "travel" brush. I will say the brush end is decent to work with though. The hairs keep their thin, pointed shape and are firm. It makes working with the gel so much easier. I bought a cheap picker brush off Ebay that looks nicer but the brush is crap compared to this travel brush. The hairs on that have frayed out and it doesn't have the pointed shape anymore. I far prefer this travel brush even though it doesnt have the picker end. I definitely recommend the modelones polygel and this kit. If you are a beginner then research everything you need first. I had a uv/led lamp already and just bought some nail primer and dehydrator and some glitter and crystals to start. This kit is cheaper than buying a bigger kit so you can see if its something youd enjoy first rather than spending double the price on a bigger kit and deciding polygel is not for you. Modelones polygel specifically is good for beginners as its consistency is easier to work with compared to another popular brand. But if you dont have a lamp then buying a kit with a lamp would be advisable since youd get more for your money than buying this kit and a separate lamp. Up to you. Plenty of research should be done before you just jump in to polygel though. It is unfortunate I got a defective kit but it doesnt seem to be a common issue so I feel ok recommending this one. Sometimes things happen and as long as they are few and far between then it's not a huge deal. Amazon would have replaced it had I wanted to do so.

Search no further!!!
I have tried sooo many nail gel products and they always end end up falling off my natural nails. I couldn't believe how easy this product was to use. I love that it comes with this slip solution so you can apply the gel like they do at the salons. At first I didn't use the plastic nails that it comes with....omg you can't go wrong with those, after your nails cure, you pop off the plastic nail, file and top coat it. I love the natural pinky colour, I ways try and find nail polishes this shade. You have no idea how much time you saved me....I can do my own set in under an hour!

Good for Beginners
This was a good introduction to polygel, nothing is outright bad and for the price the items that aren't perfect are forgivable. I didn't really like the dual forms, none fit quite right and had a bit too much arch which is saying a lot because I have darn well near witch style arches naturally so if this was too much for me, it'll be really frustrating for someone with flat nailbeds. I think the issue really hits home on the underside, it's really hard to keep the gel out from under your free edge because it's shape encourages a huge lump of product towards the free edge where the arch kinda would be. Maybe it's some user error (I'm an acrylic/hard gel and paper form guy) involved. The gel itself is good, clear is sticky af but workable and the brush is decent and stiff enough to handle the consistency. I love the base and top coat that comes with it, I think the Modelones top is my fave out there right now. The slip solution bottle is mad small but I make my own when working with builder gel anyways so it's not a big deal but would have been nice if it was bigger, considering how sticky the clear gel can be.
