A great gorilla play set - batteries included……..
This is a much bigger play set than I had imagined, it’ll certainly appeal to kids who like ‘imaginative play’. In the set is a large gorilla, an equally large ‘tree house’ which has a platform and, a winch so that you can pull the ‘lift’ and other things up and through the platform’s trapdoors. There’s also an adventurer figure to add to the play scenariosThe detail on the gorilla is good, the figure itself is very sturdy and will withstand some rough play. You can move the arms and legs so that he can be ‘posed’, it’s just a shame that the knees and elbows can’t be bent to add to the effect. There is a button on his chest which when pressed will have him making some gorilla type sounds - 2 x AAA batteries are required for this, 2 are already installed and just need for an insulation tab to be pulled out for it to work. This should provide hours of fun filled play, kids can let their imaginations run wild - recommended.

Great play set!
The media could not be loaded. This play set was so much bigger than I expected and my 7-year-old son absolutely loves it! He normally only ever plays with his toy cars but he spent hours playing with this and he loves the gorilla so much he’s been taking it to bed! 😂The gorilla makes sounds with the push of a button (see my video) It’s quite funny as some of the sounds are a bit like a bottom burp and the speaker is based on the gorilla's bottom too. My son found this hilarious!Everything seems well made. The gorilla requires 3xAAA batteries which are included in the set.I think the price is probably a little overpriced, but sometimes you can’t put a price on fun and this will provide hours of fun!My son has also enjoyed using this with some other toys he owns so it has been great at encouraging him to use his imagination. I’d happily buy other toys from this brand as I’m really impressed.

Kind of strange
This is definitely a...unique...toy. There is an expedition tower that comes with a gate and winch system. The gate is very stiff and my son finds it hard to open. It is the same for the winch, it's very difficult for him to turn because the wheel is stiff and doesn't spin freely. You get a few accessories with the tower. A hammock that hangs inside the tower, what I assume is supposed to be a vine ladder, and some sort of basket to attach to the winch. There is a small, female ranger figure who comes with a lasso. She looks a bit like He-Man but it's nice to see a female in an explorer set for a change (unfortunately she looks so strange that my son still thinks she is a boy). The main feature of the set is the gorilla. It is huge and heavy. Great details and has a button on its chest that when pressed produces gorilla sounds (sniffing and growling). It was thoroughly enjoyed by my son for a short period of time, but he soon became bored of it as it doesn't do much and it is quite difficult to adjust the arms and legs because they are stiff. It's a very different kind of play set but not very well thought out and a bit random. Not very child friendly as it's difficult to use the various features. And for the price (28.18 at the time of ordering), I'm not sure it's worth it.
