This makes my plants look so much better, cuz I don’t have much of a green thumb. I sprayed it with water before working with it , but I that’s not needed. In fact it comes off on you hands (used light green) especially as I was covering a moss ball, that needed the moss to fit. It’s still nice and soft after 2 weeks. May buy some more for my outdoor plants, if the wind ever stops.

I used to buy this locally at my hardware store's garden center but it went out of business so I turned to Amazon. It was $6 cheaper than at the store. I use it on top of my planters to cover the soil and it gives such a pretty look to my pots. It is dyed so when I water I notice yellow green water running out the pots but It hasn't hurt my plants. Over time it does fade to a pale green and being natural, it does break down and needs to be replaced. I'd say twice a year is good. Its a good sized bag and enough to cover the tops of 10, 6" pots twice a year.

I wanted to make something for a business using their logo and decided this was what I was looking for. The moss was easy to use and soft. It wasn't exactly clean, but it was easy to pick the bits out and since it is a relatively natural product, the bits were to be expected. It did dry out and get hard on a low humidity day, but when the humidity came back it was very soft again. I'm sure a spritz of water will remedy this in the future. (I live in a desert, it WILL get dry again.) My one complaint, which is partly my fault, was that the bags don't all match. I bought several bags the first time and ran out and then bought several more. You can probably see in the pictures a 1/4 of the picture is lighter than the other portion. In person it's far less noticeable thank goodness, and I'll probably be the only one that really knows unless I point it out. But just as a warning - purchase enough to complete the project, or make sure you do it randomly enough that if you purchase more, it won't be such a stark difference. I'll make sure this doesn't happen again if I make more. I'll buy more from here again.

I purchased black moss to top my indoor plants. Problem is the black dye STAINS badly. When someone walked by, small pieces of moss fell from planters onto our refinished wood floors, causing a dark yellow to black stain where the tiny piece of moss landed (same color your hands will be after handling this stuff). Same staining but to a lesser extent on our quartz counters and hearth. Neither our floors nor quartz surfaces have EVER been stained by any substance in the 5 years that I’ve owned my house, so this is highly aggravating. No household cleaner meaningfully improves the stains and the damage is gobsmacking. Aside from that, the plants that these were used to decorate are now trying to die, but I have removed the moss (straight into the trash with tongs and rubber gloves) and will try rehabbing the plants. AVOID purchasing this product unless it’s intended to throw at your enemies: DO NOT BRING THIS PRODUCT INTO YOUR HOME or allow it to come into contact with anything that you don’t want destroyed. UPDATING with additional images of staining caused by brief handling (less than 10 seconds) and contact with sides of planter (~2ish weeks).

This is my first time using this on a craft so I have no comparison but it worked great. It was just enough for my project and was easier than expected to glue on as well.

I really like the Color and texture of this moss I use it for crafts and it’s nice to work with. I also put on top of my small plants looks great!

Because of the consistent colouring, if you want variation in colour, you will need to purchase another shade of green
