I originally read this as a soft brace itself- which it is not. It is not supportive or bracing in the least. But as a liner, it's perfect! It helps a GREAT deal when wearing an unlined brace, which most of mine are. Ah, the relief from that pinching velcro closure! You get two, and I have lost one, but I use the heck out of that one and I am probably going to buy more. Be warned that the flesh tone color stains/dirties easily and does not wash out as I hoped it would. So don't cut tomatoes with this on alone, it will stain. (That sounds like a "d'uh!" thing but this liner is so comfy I forget I have it on or just get too lazy to take it off. It has a nice feel!) Also, I have no idea how it is waterproof- I'd say it is not. I'm not sure what that claim even means in conjunction with this. I mean, if you get it wet, it's wet. But never mind that, it does everything else super well, is very comfortable, and makes life better if you wear a brace. Amen.

As a digital artist, my daughter has found this brace to be very helpful in preventing thumb strain. It is thin enough that it does not interfere with her drawing on her graphics tablet. However, if you already have pain from thumb overuse, this brace is not supportive enough to help you recover. Once she was feeling better (with the help of the Ace brace and physical therapy), she started using the VELPEAU brace (recommended by her PT) as part of her toolkit to prevent further problems while being able to get her work done.

I've exchanged this product 3 times to get the right fit. I continued to exchange because the material was really good on the first 2 sizes I bought. Finally the third time it fit. However, this material is not the same. It is cheaply glued together. The first 2 was all one material and good quality as it's made to get wet. This pair will fall apart very quickly, and also gives no support. Attached is an image of the material. As you see it's glued together whereas the first 2 pair was all the same material with no seams. Waste of money, and now I need to find another product.

The product is good just wished the words were in a different location. It definitely helps with thumb issues. The compression is good.

I was not impressed with this item. I may have been expecting more from it.I expected more "support," but it felt more like just a liner, not a support brace.

I love these. It’s just a slight compression exactly where I need it, I don’t feel like these get in the way, I wear one on each side.

First I ordered the large, cuz I had measured my hands and that would be what fit, but once I got them, they were a little big (baggy). So I sent them in for a refund & bought the medium. They fit wonderfully. Soft, smooth, silky feeling, not too tight, doesn't irritate the skin between hand & thumb, or interfere with thumb rings. I have a different style that is totally silicone, & they are tight, not easy to put on or take off, if you wash your hands with them on, then it's wet under them & uncomfortable. But not with this, they are good! Easy to slip on, very light-weight. But enuf stretchiness to be comfortable.

Following joint replacement surgery on base of thumb 3 months ago, I was still transitioning from bulky splints. But I still needed some gentle support and some compression to keep swelling down. This is working perfectly for this purpose, and support splint use is almost eliminated. What is really nice is that the sleek profile means I can just slip the splint over it for temporary extra support. This is a well made product. The only issue is determining size needed. My hands usually need a men’s large for gloves. But if I want a tight fit, I buy mediums. I bought size medium and guessed right. It was a tight fit, but support and compression were perfect.
