Brilliant piece of kit to carry in the Scottish hills. Safe fresh drinking water almost anywhere
I've become ever more reliant on this when out on bigger days in the mountains, especially warm days. I can drink as needed without fear of running out of water during the day, or becoming dehydrated. Carry it empty and use it as needed to refill my water bottle as I walk.

Perfect for long days in hot conditions
Really good piece of kit for when it's hot and you know that there will be a source of fresh water on your hike. I tend to use it to squeeze water into other drinks bottles, where you can add water purifying tablets (if necessary) or hydration tablets.Never used it as a straw, which I guess is only useful when water is very scarce and the design does mean it's hard to get every last bit of water out of the bag. But if you've found a good source of water this isn't really an issue.Comes with a syringe for back flushing. What would be a nice addition though is if it came with a small bottle just big enough to contain the filter in solution for long term storage or for carrying a spare.

Great system
Have been using on a trip in India, has provided a small collapsible bag that can hold a litre of water, providing a clean source of water

Excellent filter system
A friend had to use this on some cloudy water - the results from the filtration were amazing. Have the jug for this in doors now

Plastic smell from the bladder
I’ve bought the bladder with the straw due to its comfortable size when empty—unfortunately, the plastic smell transfers from the water bladder to the water. Thanks to this the water taste is really unpleasant.

Good
It tasted of silicone too much and regretted not buying the bottle instead because it was a hassle not being able to put it down upright.and squeezing the bottle I ended up gulping air haha. I just ended up buying bottles of water.

It works
Very handy. Purifying tablets leave a taste. Carrying bottles of mineral water is heavy and cumbersome. Handy for hotel tap water as well as being out and about. Used it to fill my water bladder and helped others I was with.

Works Great for a Multi Day Hike
We purchased this LifeStraw squeeze bottle before our multi-day hike in Newfoundland. We debated purchasing it because we had the LifeStraw drinkable straw, a stove to boil water and tablets for purifying. We thought we had enough but had this sinking feeling this might come in handy. We're SO glad we bought it! It ended up being a staple for filling our water bottles throughout the day and getting water for cooking our meals. It was easy to fill up the bottle and squeeze the water into our camel packs and pots for cooking. So much easier to use than having to pull out the lifeStraw every time we wanted a sip of water or worry about having sediment in our pots when cooking food.Highly recommend, I think it'll become a staple of all of our camping/hiking trips!

Great for Places You Can't Drink the Tap Water
I recently switched from hard bottles and purification tablets to this bottle. Here is what I love about it:-Flexible; fits in the side pocket of my cargo shorts/pants and molds to the shape. Hard bottles do not fit well and stretch out the pocket.-Fill up and go; no need to worry any longer about purifying tap water. If you have a reservoir of extra water in your pack, you can filter it all through the bottle before you leave.-If you get lost in the woods (like me a few times), this can be filled in the stream and give you safe drinking water immediately.-It is priced right; the additional expense is worth the benefits.-It is quite sturdy. A knife would cut it, but it is unlikely that branches would.-Rolls down to almost nothing for travel, unlike a hard bottle that takes up room in luggage.-Less hassle (for me at least) than a hydration pack.
