Novelty 16365 Countryside Flower Box Planter, 36-Inch, Terracotta

This might be a very different review. Lol. I did not buy this planter for plants! I bought it for birds!! I have hundreds of chickens. They drink water sooooo much more in the winter, than in the summer.....I am constantly refilling waterers. When they get frozen, it is very hard to get the ice out of REAL chicken drinkers. So.. here comes the planter. This planter is very strong, very sturdy, and very durable. I fill it to the top ith water, and have placed a very large rock in the center of it, to keep it from tipping over, when my chickens jump up and perch on the lip of the planter, while they drink from it. When the water freezes, I tip it over, and dump the whole long block of ice out, rinse it clean, and refill it, and add the rock. This planter is tough! If it can hold up to birds everyday, me dumping it out and dropping a big rock in the center, artic temps, and still look and perform as well as the day I got it.....this is a fantastic item. And it will certainly hold up to being filled with dirt, and having some flowers put into it. Whatever your reason for using this planter...you wont rgret it. It is NOT a cheap flimsy, easily broken plastic junk piece. IT IS, a very nice, thick, strong, multifunctional flower planter, which you wont be disappointed. Buy one now! You will love it!! Boxes drain very poorly, handles to keep Center walls together do not attach without breaking attachable ends. Soul makes the middle how out. The product isn't sturdy enough - I bought 5 of six, planted happily but when I watered well, ugh! I had to drill more holes in the sides and it still drains too slowly if it gets flooded. Not recommended at 36" ..

This is a decent value for the money, but I was hoping it would be sturdier. It comes with a little plastic piece to hold the sides together in the center to support them, but that plastic piece keeps popping out. I use another potted plant to hold up the sides, since without the support they bow out a lot. It also could use a few more drain holes - I wish I'd realized that before I planted my vegetables, but I'll drill a few more holes before next season. It's not a terrible purchase and the beans don't seem to mind too much, but it needs a few refinements before being a great buy.

For the price, you cannot go wrong. I ordered two for winter cemetery arrangements for display in front of a 42" headstone and they are great. A little lighter than I expected but a few bricks rectified that. Otherwise totally satisfied and I would purchase them again!

Very nice planter, light weight yet good sized with drainage holes. I knew I did not want a terra-cotta planter when I purchased it and easily spray painted it a different color. I have seen similar planters for less money since I received this planter.

Nice but much longer than I needed so had to return.....(stupid me didn’t measure correctly)

Very flimsy made. Very high price for a thin piece of plastic. Bowed in the middle she dirt added.

I had 6 of these to plant my garden seeds in the house. Easy for me to carry them outside. Stored them for use next season. All my seedlings did well in these.
