Recently in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. This book covers it all, including history, sites, and restaurants. In fact, 2 of our local guides use it. Need I say more?

Great travel book, Give it to my friend who was leaving for all those places. But I did glance through it look like it was a great one. It really gave all the important places to visit and it was very clear and easy to read and understand. End it was concise and not real heavy to carry around with you when you're traveling

And this book is now exception. We used it to prepare for our two-week trip that began in Seim Reap, Cambodia and ended in Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In the middle we spent a couple of days in Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capitol. Along the way, depictions of the various destinations were accurate and complete helping us avoid meaningless sites and spending more time in great locations. The dining scenes in both Saigon and Phnom Penh are vibrant and travel was safe. This guide was essential in the planning and execution of our trip! Don't leave home without a Lonely Planet guide!

He love the book but is already falling apart. Cover came off and now pages. He can’t return it due to where he is. But still enjoyed all the up to date information

Love the info, organization, price. Always love these travel guides and this one does not disappoint.

I know that space is limited, as 4 countries are in the book but there are a lot of travel details that are missing (travel times, getting there and away, etc.) are scant on details and I have to look up these things online. I feel like there are too many entertainment, bar, and restaurant descriptions and not enough about the sites and activities and the travel. Maybe need a re-balance in order to get all of the pertinent details in with 4 countries.

Good overview of region that highlights the major tourist destinations. I would not recommend for finding ways to get off the beaten track - it's simply too large of a region to be covered in a single travel book. You're better off reading online travel blogs.
