Very bright, rechargable, nice button on it. Very high quality. Lightweight. Pretty good size, and i've dropped it once and it didn't break. Seems durable.

This is the best flashlight I've ever had; I can't think of anything wrong with it. I had bought another light from Big 5 for about $50 (on sale from $80), and it was a total piece of junk. It failed during a night hike in a remote canyon and made finding my way out extremely difficult. So, after that experience I resolved to find a better light. I pored over dozens of different brands and models on Amazon for days, finally deciding that this one just seemed a little better than most. I have not been disappointed. It's well built, extremely bright (with adjustable focus), 3 brightness levels, and I've never been able to find out how long the batteries last because even after hours of use (rockhounding at night), it's never run out of power. Now, about the 990,000 lumens claim: I have no idea what their talking about or how they are allowed to claim such a ridiculous number. But for whatever reason, many brands do this, and to be fair it is incredibly bright (when its beam is tightly focused, it's probably dangerous to look at directly). I'm glad it has three brightness levels, because frankly, one doesn't always need that much light. My only quibble (as many have noted) is that you have to cycle through those PLUS both flashing emergency modes every time you turn it off. Since I look for fluorescent minerals, I need to turn it off and on frequently, so that is a bit of an annoyance. That aside, this is a superb deal for $30, and even at $40 it's still worth it.

I was so pleased with this flashlight when I first got it, that I bought another one a few months later. It’s super bright, has good weight to it, and seems well made. However, just a few months later, the battery won’t charge fully. Not sure why. I don’t over charge it, and I don’t leave it on for an extended period of time. It gets very hot if you do. I’ve seen other reviews that also mentioned the battery. Otherwise, I would give it 5 stars.

Update: It was awesome for four or five months and then the button mechanism just collapsed into the cylinder. I cannot turn it on anymore so now it's just a paperweight. ORIG: Recommended to me by a friend. It's well made, bright enough to light up road reflectors a quarter mile away. We have bears so I like that it's also heavy enough to use as a billy club if necessary. 😆

Not a good product. Looks can be deceiving. I was wanting a rechargeable flashlight with higher lumens, and is rechargeable which this flashlight is. The problem is it stopped charging after just a few uses. The charger works fine and charges other devises in case the supplier reads this. I didn’t bother to send it back and just rather go to my local store and buy a replaceable battery style than these rechargeable lithium style flashlights. This is the second lithium rechargeable flashlights this happened to. The other one gave me about one year and stopped working. My recommendation is not to buy this model/brand flashlight and be cautious of these rechargeable lithiums using the built in non replaceable battery. Flashlights need to be dependable as in many cases they are your emergency lighting in the event of a blackout. At least the replaceable battery style is a proven product.

Battery charge doesn't last very long. I bought this almost 3 years ago, and used it only a handful of times and now I have to replace the rechargeable battery. The battery brand new only lasted 10 minutes before I needed to charge it. If you shake it you will lose half your charge. The light is very bright, with a wide and narrow beam, but you'll only get about 50ft of view from the narrow beam.
