Worked great for our fountain!
Aquascape AquaBasin 30 was prefect for my project to add a small water feature to our entry garden. The basin is sturdy and well designed and built. Instructions were easy to follow and good installation videos were available for review. Installed our fountaion last summer and closed and winterized (emptied and covered) the basin in October. We had a cold winter with several feeeze-thaw cycles. There was some water infiltration over the winter (I plan to seal the cover better this year) but there was no freeze damage to nor heaving of the basin. The fountain itself turned out great and we are happy with the result. We spent many days sitting on the poarch enjoying our babbling fountain.

Sturdy well designed fountain basin
Although expensive, Iโve used this basin on two different projects and would buy again. Very solid, holds a lot of weight, easy access through triangular corner piece that lifts out to clean the pump or fill basin

The Best Fountain Basin Out There
For years I had our fountain sitting in a very small basin, supported only by bricks. I decided to do an upgrade and I chose the Aquascape 30 Fountain Basin. The installation was easy for any handy person, and it can easily support my heavy ceramic fountain even when it is filled with water and covered with rocks. The large access hole makes installing and maintaining the pump really easy and I also installed the optional automatic water fill valve so I don't have to think about the water level all the time. That also works perfectly. This basin holds about six times as much water as my previous basin, which will help to keep the water looking fresh and clear. I think this is a very well designed, great product.

Excellent basin for my fountain.
This basin worked great for my millstone granite fountain. My fountain is 24" wide, so the 30" size of the basin was perfect. The basin has a dedicated corner with a small door for easy access to the pump. The basin is very sturdy and had no trouble with the granite fountain. I couldn't be happier with the result.

Good quality basin; I'd like one improvement
I have had this Aquabasin in use for several months, both last year and this spring. I was very pleased with the ease of set up, its ability to support the weight of an urn fountain and good-sized rocks, and the openings provided for both water return and managing cords. There is also a nice opening in one corner for inserting and maintaining a small pump. The reason I rated it down is that it would be so much better if it had a whole or half-size lid opening for cleaning out any dirt that entered during set up and for viewing and more easily removing the water at the end of the season. I currently am having an algae problem, which appears on the fountain, but I can't see the state of the water in the basin nor easily change it out for fresh water. I am treating the water with an algae remover, but I'd still like to see the state of the water inside the basin. I'm not sure there is a better basin available; but this addition would make it a great basin.

Perfect water feature solution
I thought I was going to have to build a concrete basin, but when we found this, it was exactly what we needed โ no heavy lifting or hard work required. Iโm not sure how heavy the coral is that we placed on it, but the basin doesnโt flex or give at all. Itโs solid. We've dressed it up more since the photo, and all we need to do now is top up the water every few days due to evaporation. Couldnโt be happier.

THIS IS A NO
There is no way this will support 500#. It flexes with my 120# body on it. I'm trying to figure out how to give it extra support, which isn't easy because there is only a very small opening to get into it, which is for the pump. I don't know how you could possibly ever clean it out. I also purchased some polymesh screening to put on top of it, when AND IF I can fortify it. I have no idea how everyone can just put it in the ground, especially at ground level, and throw pebbles and rocks on top of it, and expect that dirt, leaves, gravel, bugs, and the rocks and pebbles, etc. will not be falling into it! And no way can I just move my concrete fountain and take it out of the ground to clean it, only to not be able to even clean it due to the design. This is a very expensive BUST. I may return it and use no additional basin for my fountain, or pay more for one that might actually work. Very poorly designed IMO. For those who say the lid to the pump area is missing, I thought the same until I finally discovered it was taped to the inside of the basin, along with the owner's manual, so you might check that. If anyone has any suggestions, I would gladly welcome any assistance...

Fine for light duty fountains, not very robust
I purchased this basin for use with a heavy basalt stone fountain (which is under the specified weight capacity for this unit, but close), and this basin had far too much flex even in the "weight bearing zone" between support columns for my comfortโespecially at this price point. The basin probably would have worked okay, but I was concerned about challenges keeping the fountain level and sagging over time. As such, I returned this basin and went with an Atlantic-Oase basin instead, which was considerably more expensive but in turn far more robustly constructed and has a more sophisticated design for pump management/water flow.

Good product, good quality
Good product from remarkable company. Little pricey but you pay for quality and smart design. My only suggestion is to advertise more accurate dimensions (LxWxH).
