Nippon Kodo, Morning Star, Rose Incense, 200 Sticks & Holder

I bought a small box of this scent at a local shop, but couldn't remember where, and was so excited to find this for a great price. These smell wonderful (and I am sensitive to incense), aren't too strong, and burn for just the right amount of time (20min-ish).

Love this product and scent. I've tried 4 of their scents so far. Rose, Cinnamon, Sandalwood, and Lavender. This one is my favorite, second is the lavender. The packaging is very nice, too. And each box comes with a little tile that you can use to burn an incense because they don't come with the wooden stick on the bottom. They are quality incense. And you receive a lot per box. They smell so good inside the box, I store it in a linen drawer like a sachet. The scent itself definitely smells like rose, a very nice rose. It burns with less of a rose scent, more gentle, and remains for hours. Later: I purchased for my eldest niece, a box of rose, cinnamon, and lavender. She loves them. She is frequently ill, and also doesn't enjoy cold weather. So she burns one of these and it cheers her up, she says. Her husband especially likes the cinnamon.

Exactly what I wanted

I've used this incense for years. Have allergies to most scented products but this doesn't have any negative effect on me. It doesn't really smell like a rose but it's pleasant for me. Went to the Bodhi Tree years ago and they had incense in their restroom. Thought it was a good idea rather than chemical sprays and it looks nice. I usually arrange about 7 sticks in a glass votive candle holder with some white rice. I have a small bathroom and it looks nice. Great price, seems to last me for years. I keep a lighter next to it cuz I can't even handle the smell of matches. The order arrived on the promised date, and the box was well padded so I didn't end up with incense crumbles. The box is very attractive, price is great, has a cute tiny single holder and I think it would make a nice little gift. I keep the box in a small freezer bag to keep the unused sticks from being too strong.

Nice quality, nice value, but the scent didn't do it for me. It was mostly just the burning smell and the faintest floral note. Nice for meditation where you spend the time pondering the subtleties, less so for when you want a rose smell around the house

Order was processed and delivered quickly. Morning Star Incense has maintained an excellent quality of incense for many years. It burns evenly and is not overly smoky. I particularly like this Rose fragrance as it lightly sweet and long lasting. They still provide the little tile which is very handy to hold the stick. Stick incense will drop a fine ash, so I generally place the tile with the incense in a small bowl of uncooked rice. This stabilizes the incense and catches the ash neatly.

The incense was a little weak on the scent side. I like something stronger. What I do like about Morning Star incense sticks is that they are small and therefore only burn for a short time. Just enough to create a mood or to mask an odor. The price is right and they are easy to handle. I fill a small decorative flower pot with sand which makes a container that will hold 12+ sticks. I light one or two at a time and the ashes fall into the pot. I will probably purchase them again but it would be nice if they upped the scent in each stick. The amber and sandlewood were better than the rose in terms of strength of scent.

Probably the most beautiful incense sticks I have ever bought. Although small and don’t last long the aroma is beautiful. They’re not the cheapest but still worth it. Would definitely buy again.
