Q: For a miniture poodle what size and do the shirts stretch

Yes shirts are stretchy. My dog weighs 12 pounds and a medium fits perfect.

Q: I have a 17lb beagle mix what's a good size for him

These shirts run small. I would check his chest circumference and the length from the base of his neck to the base of his tail and pick a size that way. My little guy was 10 pounds and some of these shirts are marked “large” and they fit him.

Yes two of them were smaller and of those two one of those was smaller than the other. It worked out for me because my pup was so small he needed the teeny tiny ones before fitting into the extra smalls
