Cheap but Effective
I want to preface by saying I modified this to turn it into a lamp, rather than a garden light like it technically was before. The light itself was left untouched. I got this light for my fish tank, in hopes it might be strong enough to keep them alive and healthy. I chose this light specifically, due to the review which mentioned it accidentally scorched their plant. If itโs strong enough to do that, it should be able to go through water right? I have a small 1 gallon aquarium with a few different plants (including a patch of moss harvested from a brick in my back yard,) and two snails (a nerite and a purple mystery.) I chose specifically low-light plants because what I plan to put in the tank prefers to be in the dark, so I didnโt want anything that would require a high amount of light. The adjustability of this light is perfect, because I can adjust it to what the plants are happy with, while knowing it can go higher if I ever need it to. So, the modifications. These are really simple: I got an 8โ wooden disk (about 3/4โ in thickness) and drilled a hole the size of the metal rod that came with the light, after the stake piece had been removed. I then sanded the rod and epoxied it to the wooden base, turning this into a proper lamp, with a base that my tank can sit on. The metal rod is fairly cheap, it feels like it would be easily dented, and the light pops off of it easily which is great if you want to switch the pole out, but not so great when you want to adjust the height the light is sitting at. It does have a collar that I think is supposed to lock it into place, but it doesnโt help, the light still pops off. For now Iโm just being conscious to pull the pole instead of the light to adjust how tall it is, but once I decide if Iโm going to swap the pole out, Iโll be epoxying the light in place so itโs easier to adjust. Very minor gripes overall. As for the light, the only thing I would change is to have a light mode that makes red leaves pop. Some aquarium lights have this but theyโre ridiculously expensive. This light does have a warm setting, but I rarely use it. Either itโs full spectrum, or red/blue when I have it on. I would also like the cord to be just a foot longer, but other than that, Iโm really happy with it, and the timer works perfectly. Iโve had this for a few months now and itโs still going strong. In fact, when I bought this light, I had separated my plants into two batches. I ordered each plant at the same time and split them. Half went into the tank, and the other half went in my window. I wanted to see if the lights were actually doing anything or if the sunlight is better. Surprisingly, the plants in the window kept dying, but the plants under this light have been thriving! The two little yellow plants were plants that I moved into the tank after I noticed how poorly theyโd been with sunlight. Theyโre supposed to be green and purple or red, and they very clearly are not. You can see the difference with them next to the spring green of the plants that have been in the tank the whole time! It will be interesting to see if they spring back or if theyโre too far gone. If these lights can save them, then Iโm more sold than I already was. There isnโt much else to say. This is a really good light at a great price, and I will definitely be ordering again when I need more lights for my plants and tanks!

Great llight.
The light really works and you are able to focus on one or two plants at a time.

Great radius,adjustable and customizable howeverโฆ
Really love the concept and options this light provides. However the time doesnโt work. Iโve used every timer option and it just stays on regardless, which is fine for the Aloe plant I have but if it was a plant where it only can handle a certain amount of light, this wouldnโt do it much good.

My plants LOVE this light (and so do I!) it is reliable and the timer is helpful
Iโve had this item for about two months now and have two of them and Iโm very pleased with the purchase. Itโs a small convenient grow light and it is easy to adjust. Additionally, when you adjust it it doesnโt just slide back down. It stays where itโs supposed to. The timer feature is my favorite option. It kicks on like clockwork and has a few different modes. One may even say this light works too well because at the rate that my one plant is growing under it, I might need to end up purchasing a taller light in a couple months! This has nothing to do with the seller, but if you are a new plant parent, make sure you donโt have a light like this one shining on YOU all day, itโs great for plants but not good for humans to be directly sitting under the pinkish purple plant lights! I made this mistake for a few years with a different light and had it too close to me at work, it isnโt good for your skin. Again, has nothing specifically to do with the seller, all of them with this color spectrum are like that, Iโm just mentioning this to be helpful. Keep it in a corner or on a shelf that isnโt directly next to anything you sit on (while itโs powered on)!

Easy to set up, nice and compact. Timer not great.
Easy to set up, had it assembled and in place in a matter of seconds. I bought it for a sprout coming up from the base of a 25 year old corn plant that I figured was on its last legs. We don't get much natural light in our current home so I am hoping to give this little bud a boost. The instructions didn't seem to be for the exact model I got. The diagram of the controller is different. Also no mention of the different light colors so I had to guess there. So far the timer seems to work ok but I know some of these cheaper controllers sometimes start to lag and will start later and later each day so that remains to be seen. Update: I've been using the grow light for a while now and as I anticipated, the timer isn't very accurate. I had it synced with a different brand of grow light to come on every morning at 8am. Every few days it was a little later than the other light. Now it's coming on at 8:24. Had to remove a star for that.

Best bang for buck
Amazing for adding needed light to dark spaces, and the best value I've found. Especially, if you can get them while on a deal or discount. I've been able to add plants to areas of my house, where normally they would have died from lack of light. I've bought 7 over the last yr to supplement lighting needs for 40+ houseplants, that range in age from freshly potted props to 15+ yrs of my care. -12 blue, 12 red, and 24 white LEDs. -Inline control switch on power cord, that plugs into a USB-C plug(think of a power block for a cell phone). Pros: -Have plants putting off new, moderate growth, even a blooming orchid, in areas that recieve almost no natural light. -More red and blue diodes than some bigger size halo lights. -Won't notice on electric bill, 5(?)watts -Can easily switch them around or adjust height/angle. Cons: -When putting the light head on the telescopic metal rod, make sure you hold onto the specific section of metal that is going into the plastic head or it could be pushed into the next section and is a pain to get back out. (Fooled me once, now I'm a pro, haha) -The power block is cheap. 5 have worked right since day one, 1 quit after 3/4 months(replaced it with another cheap dollar store one), 1 didn't work on arrival but was easily returned and replaced. The next one is a Pro and a very slight Con: -I stick the pole between the dirt and pot to not disturb roots. It tends to lean a lil' when the dirt is drier, but it's also my indicator to check them. Overall, I am super happy with these, and plan to buy more.

Job well done!
Love this little grow light! I keep it in my kitchen to double as a lamp, as well as to keep fresh herbs lasting long. Easy to set up, good light quality, love the timer aspect-- I left it on for 12 hours while I was away for longer than a week, bottom watered my herbs, and they were very happy when I returned! Will probably purchase another few once I get more plants going in my new house. Highly recommend.
