This is a great camera. I will say we had to opt for the unlimited plan pretty quick so factor that in before you buy it. It’s not much though.

Bought and setup after the 30 day warranty. Camera never had a free 30 day trial for purchase like stated on Muddy website. Didn't work and Muddy customer support is also the worst I ever dealt with. Camera was damaged from factory never got a refund or able to have it fixed.

Love the camera had 2 before this purchase. Needed to replace one of them due to it being old. The new one would not transmit a signal to my phone. But after several calls to service, they are sending new one. Customer service is a little slow but they did fix the issue.

The pictures are good as you can see, I can clearly identify the animal in the picture or a vehicle in the drive. It is a minimum of $15/month for service for up to 3 cameras and $5 per month after that, and ¢5 per picture for a high res download when the camera syncs (every few hours I think). I almost never have more than 1 or 2 bars but it always works and works fast (though I probably should have gotten AT&T, they have better coverage in my area). I have a large property by some standards, specifically meaning that I can't see all 20+ acres from my house, and these hide well from human eyes which is why I got them. The ones I got came with the Muddy solar panel so they ought not to need any real attention for a while other than clearing off the spider webs. The product feels sturdily built and has remained functional in all sorts of inclement weather, without fail. This will sometimes trigger when there appears to be nothing there, if that happens you have to adjust the delay and photo burst settings and you will usually get a picture of a deer butt (or maybe sasquatch, who knows? The truth is out there). Of course, with this and not a way more expensive unit, you get pictures only, but I have other cameras closer to the home itself that record video, so this fits the bill for my needs and doesn't break the bank. I do plan to buy more so that is why I wrote this when I saw so few reviews on Amazon.

I bought 2 of these camera's thinking they would the job I needed and I was very disappointed. Not to mention the extras you have to buy to get the camera's up and running. What I mean by that is you have to buy SD cards that will be capable to the camera, 16 MB or better, you also have to buy service for the camera's which are with these AT&T and the quality is just awful. For out in the woods, it's even worse. Occasionally I would get a picture, once in a while, but not how the camera is suppose to work. Call Tech for the camera's...good luck! First phone call I was told they are so busy that I have to wait 48 hours before someone calls me back and the call never came so I called them back. By the time everything was all said and done it still wasn't fixed so that the camera's would work correctly. I started the refund! Do not buy these. Terrible camera for hunting!

Muddy did not answer my question to them through the Amazon link to contact them. There is no reply from customer service via email. I'm still waiting after 10 days. Also, there is no answer from customer service when I call. My attempts included several calls with very long waits and no actual person answering. I was on hold over an hour once and more than a half hour on several occasions. They have a recording that says they will be with you but, no one actually comes on the line. All this was before I gifted the Muddy Trail Cam because I wanted to clarify the cell carrier info. I hope there is no real problem later.....

I have 3 cameras, 2 work just fine. I'm on week 2 of waiting for tech support to get back to me on the malfunctioning one. If you call the tech support number all you can do is leave a message with the answering service and wait for support to call you back.

Quality is fine if it will capture a picture. I have service with it but I walked in front of it and it will not take a picture. Only time it will is when I hit the sync button. I'll be retuning!
