Nice cover.
The cover came in and the box was sitting up ok one end. The cover itself was fine. The two plastic corner pieces were broken. I emailed BAK and installed the cover. They quickly responded and asked for my address. Two days later, I had new end pieces but for a different model cover. Emailed them again, they expressed shipped the correct ends. Installed new corner pieces and cover is doing fine. One person can install it, 2 just speeds it up on holding and tightening. It lines up pretty easy and is not hard to put on. I added some foam weather stripping to the tailgate area, of my truck, to help move water away from going in the bed. So far, that has helped the cover be 99.5% water proof. Very little water gets into the bed now. I would trust my luggage in the back, even while driving, during a storm. The cover locks in place but is easy to unlock and fold up. I only loose about 6" of bed space with the cover folded up to the cab. This could be handy on day, with having the short bed on a crew cab F150. The only issue I have seen with the cover is the plastic end pieces. They do feel flimsy. I shouldn't be doing anything to mess them up but you never know. The BAK customer service was on top of my issue from shipping tho. I would recommend trying this cover is you are looking for one that can fold up to the cab, for maximum bed space without removing. The cover can be removed easily tho. Two screw down knobs, on the inside of the cover, is all you have to take off to remove from the truck.

Love this tonneau
I previously had a L**d tonneau, soft roll up, held down by velcro strips down the sides. I spent about $300-$400 for it. After the first year, and some shrinkage, it never really fit right. This one fits perfect. I love the multi points of cable release as you unfold the tonneau. Also, I no longer am required to stand at the back of the bed of the truck to pull on cables on both sides of the roll up tonneau to release the latches. I can stand on one side or the other of the tonneau and it releases both sides. Fold up is easy, however, with each fold you are not lifting more weight than the previous fold. By the time you are lifting the last fold it is a little awkward. I love the matte finish and looks very sleek overall on the bed of the truck. Much better than the roll up that sat about an inch above the level of the bed of the truck. Set up was ok, I took my time over about 90 minutes, distractions in-between, but if I had focused I am guessing I could have set the entire thing up in 20-30 minutes. There were a couple spots on instructions where they were not clear, however, the pics helped. One thing I wish they had provided were plugs to place in the holes at the front of the tonneau. I know they provide the tubes to help drain, however, my truck has a spray in bed liner, sealing the spots where you can pop out the plastic bed plugs and run your drain tube out. They recommend drilling a hole to place the end of the tube, but I would prefer to plug the holes of the tonneau and just let the rain or snow drain off on its own. I wasn't sure about the rubber seal around the edges as there were a couple points in which there were waives or bumps and it did not look like it was going to seal properly. They recommend getting out a blow dryer to heat up the rubber seal and it would eventually lay flat. They also recommended you could let is sit in the heat of the sun. I decided to do the latter. Within a few hours the rubber seal laid flat and smooth against the truck bed. Overall, I am very pleased with the product. Is it worth over $1000 you pay, that is up to you to decide. I don't believe it is. When I compare to others, roll up or hard flip tonneau, considering the latches and other aspects, I think it is more like a $650-$800 product, but no where near $1000.

Nice cover!
Purchased this for our 2014 Raptor to be used on a long road trip so we could secure our items at rest or fuel stops. I was able to install it in about 30 minutes, perhaps less as I didn't time myself. So long as the tailgate is locked the goods inside are secure. I didn't install the drain tubes since we are pretty dry out this way. We were in a very humid place in California and had no leaks even though dew covered the vehicle and cover. We were also in a rainstorm and it didn't leak. At some point I will install the tubes but need to get a large drill bit so I can punch thru the drain plug. I'm not so sure I'd sit on it as I am large but my wife is less than half my weight and think she could sit or stand on it without issue. The cover folds up against the back window so if hauling larger items you'll have to rely on the exterior mirrors...for some people that's a problem. We are very happy with the purchase! I've seen some of the roll-up models and they can consume a lot of bed space. This one, when folded, takes about 4 to 6 inches, didn't measure. I was able to stuff items below the folded part so no space was lost.

BAK Industries 48309 Tonneau Cover (Con: Mounting Clamp retrofit)
PRO: The product I received was in great condition and fits my truck like a glove. I haven't had a chance to check out to see if the cover is water tight and if the drains work but overall very satisfied with the product and would recommend it to anyone who want a secure cover that is strong and has many options for either having the cover all the way closed or sections that latch individually and also allow a cover that opens the entire bed of the truck for use. The installation was easy and instructions detailed. I would recommend prior to installation watching a few installation videos on YouTube as they were very helpful and I was prepared and didn't really even need the instructions to install. CON: The clamps that I received were supposed to fit my 2013 Ford F150 Lariat but the clamps were obviously for a truck bed that has a long inside lip for the clamps to attach to the cover brackets. My truck has about a 1" lip and the clamps were not even close to fitting. Resolution: I had to drill out clearance hole for the bolt close to the top of the clamp in order for it to clamp properly. Therefore my installation of the cover would have taken about 20 minutes to complete instead of the 1½ hors to drill out all 6 clamps. Recommendations to manufacturer or distributer: In the clamps there is a clearance slot that goes about 1/3 of the way up the clamp. Suggest extending this machined slot up the rest of the clamp so that it will fit any truck bed that either has a long inside lip or a short one as it was in my case. This would make this clamp universal for all. BAK Industries 48309 Tonneau Cover

This is a very nice cover!
Good price, easy to install, well-made and good looking. It was well packaged, all the parts were there, and the instructions were great! We had no problem installing it, even though we had not installed one before.

Would recommend to anyone
Just installed on my Raptor with the 5'7" bed. Friend recommended after he installed one a year ago. I don't have personal experience with rain yet but he has had zero issues with things getting wet in the back of the truck. I installed mine yesterday and it was really easy to install because of the way this thing is built. Quality materials, precise holes, brackets etc all led to a super easy install and it looks fantastic! Wish I would have bought one earlier!

Well made
This is the second of these I've bought. I had one of my previous truck and loved it. With my new truck I looked at several other tonneau covers but I didn't like them as much as this one. The Bakflip lays flat and is secure. This one seems to install even easier than my first so I believe there have been some updates to the hardware since I bought my first one. No tonneau cover is going to be 100 percent watertight but I get very little water in this one. Unless I decide to go with a retractable in my next truck I will likely again go with this same one.

Well - Constructed. Easy to assemble.
I did a ton of research on covers and finally decided on this folding cover over the more expensive roll-top covers. I installed it right before a cross-country trip so we could put all of our luggage in the back. The entire 1,500 miles we were in constant rain; sometimes so heavy we had to pull over. I was a little nervous when I went back to check on the luggage. To my surprise it was completely dry! Very happy with this purchase. It's not as convenient when you need to use the entire pickup bed though... It's not great having your back window covered. But, for me, it is only a small tradeoff for the much more expensive roll-top covers. I also think it looks more aesthetically pleasing than the roll-top covers.
