Does it really?
I work with an animal rescue and during this summer, the temperatures have been well over 100 degrees. I've been wearing long sleeve tees but I can't always find one with a collar to protect my neck. I decided to try a product with sun protection and have to admit that price was important. I saw this product and liked many features: (1) this is the most classic style (- collar; safari design); (2) long sleeve with the option to roll up and tie the sleeves; (3) lightweight and vented in the back; (4) place for my sunglasses and other piece holders; (5) variety of colors; (6) good prices. I was so anxious to try it, I wore it right out of the package to a lunch - I looked like I was personally unfolded from the packaging, with all the folds on my blouse. It was 115 that day and this shirt was lightweight, comfortable, didn't feel like a fabric blend (that typically sticks to you when you perspire). It is very light though, so I wore a summer top under the white blouse. (Might not be a problem with opaque colors like blue or green). All the time, I kept thinking, how can this light a fabric provide 50+ SPF??? However it does, I'm convinced. I'm going to buy a few more colors. One other comment. I'm a Medium but I always buy Large when I want unrestricted movement. Thinking about my movements when I work with animals, I was tempted to get the Large, but the Sizing chart seemed to push towards the Medium. I took a chance and the Medium was VERY roomy. It doesn't look like I'm wearing a man's shirt, but it s definitely larger than I expected.

Very lightweight loose-fitting beautify summer shirt
I wore this to a party where we were going to experience 95 deg heat. I wanted to be prepared for sun, shade and anything in-between. This was perfect. It is a very neatly put together piece with a nice sleeve ornament to give it just a bit of pizzazz. I felt comfortable and not under-dressed at all. I realize this is meant to be a hiking shirt but it is nice to have multi-purpose clothing. As it turned out, the organizers used misters so we were quite damp and cool! And the shirt dried quickly once I left the party, so I didn't experience prolonged warm dampness. Triple home run!

SHEER IN WHITE/NICE TRAVEL BLOUSE FOR PRICE
Attractive, well-constructed shirt for the price. If you order white and plan to wear it with no layer underneath, it's sheer; have a pretty bra or cami to show off. The sleeves are a bit long for me, but I'm 5'3 and a 2X, so nothing unusual there. Fits as expected; if you have quite a bit of your weight in your tummy, order your usual size or size up. The 2X barely fits me in the tummy/hips when buttoned (am extremely short waisted, spoon shape). These blouses will work for my trip to O'ahu, but I will either have sleeves shortened or turn the cuff up. Cool, thin fabric for wearing over a layering tank top to protect me from the sun. The blue/gray shirt is a muted color, but pretty, and it's not sheer. Same length in front and back. In back, the upper back of the shirt has a mesh lining, covered with a fabric vent (see image). Notice I've washed and line dried once. It's not super wrinkled, but the fold lines from the package are still present. If you're a stickler for no wrinkles, may have to lightly iron.

Excellent for outdoor activities
I bought these shirts to wear while riding and working with my horses. Additionally, these shirts are great for any outdoor activity where you need protection from the sun. These shirts are lightweight, comfortable, I have pockets for storing things, and are not too hot to wear all day in the sun. I bought this shirt in several colors, and have worn it not only for fishing but for riding my horse. We live in a high mountain desert area where the sun is extremely intense in the summer and with the intense elevation you can get quite sunburned. I wear these shirts anytime I am outside riding my horse, fishing, riding, or working in my backyard. These are comfortable cool and keep me from getting burned and skin cancer. I am fair skinned so sun protection is key. I really love these shirts. I have purchased four of these now and wear them regularly when doing outdoor activities. I keep one in my truck at all times just in case. These are excellent shirts. They are very versatile you can roll up the sleeves and the back is vented so You can stay cool in addition to not getting burned. They do run a little bit large. Typically in a button-down shirt I would wear a large because I have large shoulders. However, in this shirt I wear a medium and I have plenty of room. This is also nice because I can wear a tank top or T-shirt underneath. Highly recommend these shirts.

Got a watch tan while wearing--might not be enough protection when the UV index is 8-10
I ordered one in pink and one in white, both size S. Might run slightly large as the fit was baggy on me but XS wasn't available. I am about 5'2", weight ranges from about 107-112, 34-25-36 and could probably fit at least one sweatshirt underneath. I am very active with sensitive skin and am always looking for quality UPF clothing.I like this shirt because the fabric feels nice, it's cool for a long sleeve shirt, it dries fast, it is low maintenance, and the price is reasonable. I grab it for walks/hikes, yard work, beach, swimming, SUP, kayaking, etc. Because it's large for me, I often don't button the bottom few buttons so I can tie it up around my waist and get some of the excess out of my way. Also it looks a bit more form fitting and less like I'm swimming in it.I've been wearing the pink since it is less transparent than white but I don't know how effective the sun protection is when the UV index is high (between 8-10)-- but maybe no light-weight single layer can offer sufficient protection? This shirt covers my wrists and I've still managed to get a watch tan though the area was covered by the shirt. I don't remember experiencing that with some name brand UPF clothing I've used in the past. I have fair skin and a few of my family members have had skin cancer so I'm not sure if if this shirt is providing sufficient protection on super high UV days or if I should wear wear sunscreen, a rash guard, or some other shirt underneath (doc told me that sun damage is any sun-caused color changes to the skin's natural color). Debating returning the white since it seems even less protective than the pink.

Looks good and very comfi
The shirt is very comfortable and the blue color is very nice. Liked the fit, the fill (it is very soft) and looks like good coverage for sun protection. Haven't washed it yes, hope the softness and protection remains after laundry.

Style out on the trail
This allows for outdoor activities without having to look like you are running a marathon. Wore this on the Inca trail with just a bra underneath and it was nice and light and airy. Would buy again

I liked it!
I enjoyed hand washing this super-lightweight shirt during my trip, to keep it smelling fresh & looking clean, and I found it practical and breathable in the heat. The velcro'd busy-ness in/around the front pockets felt silly and screamed "Tourist" or "Cruise Director" aboard the Love Boat.

Light and comfortable
Like the soft, light and comfortable feel of this shirt, great for sun protection. Lots of of pockets(not bulky at all), great back mesh vent, nice loop and button sleeve tabs. I had trouble finding a size chart with measurements, but I went with Amazon's recommended size and it fits just a bit larger than usual. Sleeves are long enough. I usually wear a 14-16 and ordered a 2xl. I would order again.
