Straight Forward, Isolated Splits - Road Tested.
I have installed a total of 6 of these into various racks. Their isolation splits are transparent, and have solves issues when using other venues ceiling speaker system (isolated out kills the hum) This is a simple cheap, and effective solution to ground loop and phantom power crossover. (alternate sound systems, monitor splits, and recording interfaces. Pros- Reversible design, ground lift, Sturdy metal design, Transparent ISO split Cons- LINK switch is easy to hit, and also switches are not easy to see if in or out, could have a mark on the side you see when up/off Picture1 (back of gig box first 3 splits were put in, internally it houses monitor and recording. Picture2 (musicians) this was it in the real world, running a show.

Works perfectly to add 8 channels via ADAT
This item was received fast abundantly exactly as described. It works perfectly as a mic-pre to add 8 extra ADAT inputs to my Apollo audio interface. Super clean!

Excellent quality
I do video recordings for bands and really needed to add multi-track audio recording to my live gigs. I use 2 of these to split 16 channels into the FOH mixer and a Zoom L-20 multi-track on stage. The unit is quiet, we could not hear a difference and offers ground lift switches, although I have never needed to use them. Phantom power passes without an issue. The bands have no problem with me using these so I'm really happy to have purchased them.

Great XLR splitter
I'm using the MS8000 ahead of a Behringer UMC1820 USB interface. This lets me split each microphone between a monitoring mixer and the recording interface so I can have no latency monitoring of each microphone. Works excellent. I didn't notice the difference in levels between the direct and transformer output -- but it doesn't matter, I just turned them up at the monitoring mixer to appropriate levels. A couple things I wasn't expecting -- it's really small. Iike less than 3 inches depth. Plan your rack accordingly -- it's hard to plug stuff in and out of this guy when racked above and below much deeper gear. It also doesn't require any power, so you don't need to budget for another power outlet to run it. It would have been nice if one or two of the channels had additional support for 1/4 inch TS / TRS input and output, but I was able to use adapter cables to make it work.

Definitely a problem solver. Use this as part of ...
Definitely a problem solver. Use this as part of our in ear monitor setup to split our inputs. Guitar/bass/vocals etc split through this, one side goes to my XR16 which I control our in-ear mixes with, other side goes to FOH. Not that the mounting depth is very short, only about 3" - so if you have it sandwiched in between other gear in a rack, it will be hard to access. Be sure to plan for that or have a bundle of short XLRs coming out of the back to patch into it.

If you need something perfect then go spend 1k on it
I did not expect this to work as well as it did. For the price this cannot be beat. If you need something perfect then go spend 1k on it. If you are a small gigging band then this will work for you. When the signal is split there is a slight drop but it's not bad and totally makes this worth it. I really expected a much more dramatic drop in signal so i was pleasantly surprised.

Got what I paid for
These are functional. I do feel like there's a bit of signal degradation on the transformer outs, but still usable for my application. The one thing I don't like is the buttons on the front for joining the channels, on more than one occasion those have been accidentally pushed in during the process of hooking up the cables. The first couple of times took a bit of head scratching to figure out why things sound a little weird suddenly... although at this point it's the first thing I check.

Very good, versatile splitter
Splitter works great in my in ear rack and allows me to send an untouched mix to the FOH engineer. No weird buzzing and keeps a clean connection. Mounts perfectly into a rack.

Pas op met in een rack plaatsen.
Je kunt deze splinters niet direct onder een voeding plaatsen in bijvoorbeeld een rack. Dan krijg je enorme inslag in de vorm van brom.

Worked as promised
Simple to use. Functioned first time out of the box. Was able to record microfibre inputs for a concert and mix the sound for the room as wanted.

Excellent splitter.
